Garden Suite?

We are staying in a garden suite, arriving this Sunday, and would love a rollaway bed for my younger son. We will only have a total of four in the room, this would just keep the kids apart

We did exactly that last summer---garden suite with a rollaway for our family of four. The extra bathroom was priceless. We all loved the BWI garden suite but I did miss a special view--a little bit. DH and our DD loved all the extra space and changing areas in the suite rather than a deluxe room. We had a blast!!!

Just booked a standard view for 1 night before checking into the CR. How is the daybed in the room? Do all rooms have 2 queens and daybed, or do I need to request it (we're a family of 5)? Where is the Boardwalk Bakery in relation to BWI? I am planning on going to pick up b'fast there the next am.

Thanks!

Hi Denise! My DD slept comfortably in the daybed. Since you are a family of 5 there shouldn't be an issue getting bedding for 5. When you go out the "back doors" of BWI go down the stairs and make a right. The bakery is a few stores down. You can also stop in the night before so you have the goodies in the am. That's what we do + there's no lines. What are your plans for the following morning? If it is to check in at CR first I would advise taking a taxi.

Thanks for the info. We won't arrive until 11pm or so. Will the Boardwalk Bakery still be open? Also, which entrance is closer to the BWI, Epcot or DHS? I have to go upgrade my ticket to an AP before checking in to the CR.. And we will have our car as we are driving down. Our plans for the next am are to sleep, grab b'fast, check into the CR, and head to the MK.

The International Gateway entrance should be the closest - they have ticket booths there that you can use to get your AP.

Hi, I have this question posted on the concierge information thread but have yet to get an answer, so I'm hoping someone here has the answer. I am staying at the Boardwalk in a deluxe concierge room for a girls only trip. We are looking forward to sitting on our balcony at night and having a few cocktails. If I email the concierge staff and ask them for Raspberry Stoli, Is that something they can get for me and have it in our room ahead of time? They do have my credit card on file. I'm just not sure if that is something they will do. Thanks for any information.

Thanks everyone for all of the info about this resort. We will be arriving in 5 days and are very excited instead of staying at the GF which also seems very nice! I think this will be a great stay!

Just wanted to let everyone on here know (because I don't want anyone to mis-interpret me) to ignore the "family-oriented" thing about the Grand Floridian. What I meant is that I chose the BWI because of the location!

Hello everyone! Subscribing to this thread since we will be staying at BWI this coming August. Although I am not a newcomer to Disney in anyway, I am a newbie at the BWI (first time) and staying deluxe in general (closest we came was a stay at the Dolphin 2 years ago..)

OK, please don't flame me for asking...just an innocent question here...we have a standard room booked. Upon check in if I mention this is my first stay at the BWI or my first stay at a Disney deluxe resort do you think I will get *upgraded*? Anyone have a similar experience at the BWI?? Just curious. I have gotten a free upgrade at CSR when I was there 3 years ago without even asking, so I KNOW they exist. If not, I am excited to be staying there and will probably spoil myself and not want to go back to mods after this..

Where is the luggage hold area located?
Also who do I go to, to take me up to the concierge floor to check in?

The last time I checked in at CR no one knew what I was talking about.
What floor is the concierge floor?

The last two times we stayed at BWI concierge, I contacted them and asked if I could get caffeine free diet coke. I was more than willing to pay, but they didn't charge me either time. I'm not sure what Raspberry Stoli is, but I would e-mail and ask. If this is alcohol, and they can verify through your ressie that you are all over 21, it doesn't hurt to ask. I would mention to them that it's OK to charge your CC separate from your resort ressie. Not sure if that makes a difference or not.

If you are flying in, you could take one of those town cars from the airport that offers a stop at a grocery store. You could find out what store they stop at and see if they sell it there. Or take a cab from the airport and have the driver stop on the way to pick it up. If you are taking ME from the airport, there are stores that will deliver to the resorts. I'm not sure if they will deliver alcohol or not.

You will love your deluxe room! I couldn't wait to get back to the room at night to sit on the balcony and watch the activity on the boardwalk. And the concierge staff are the best on property!

Have a great trip!

I would place your order thru gardengrocer.com & have it delivered to your room. They only charge a $12 delivery fee
