My vacation plans are booked!!!!!!!!It's been 2 years since DH and I have been on a vacation....no wait 3 years!

We made some changes when DS was born and don't regret nare one of them. A few months ago, I told DH that HE needed a vacation. He was having a rough time at work and with him being the only one who truly knows his job, more pressure was put on him. He really appreciated me coming to him about it and just a few days ago he told me that his boss sees no problems with being gone a couple of days. We're going to leave on a Saturday night and return Tuesday evening. Only going to be gone a few days, but sometimes that's all you need. It'll be our sons 1st vacation and I'm so excited for him!

We're going to Stone Mountain and we're going to take him to Stone Mountain Park and the Aquarium in Atlanta...AND our son will get to eat in his first kosher restaurant. We eat kosher and DH and I haven't eaten out in 3 years because there isn't kosher restaurants where we live now. I made ressies a couple days ago and can't believe it's only 3 weeks away....see 2nd ticker!

Question: I made ressies for Saturday evening til Tuesday morning, but I don't think we'll be coming in to Atlanta til nearly midnight,(and that'll be Sunday) they are an hour ahead of us. Does anyone remember the latest you can check in? I believe I was told you have til 7am of the following day to do so. Make sense? Thanks for anyone who can help. I suppose I could just call them the day we leave and have them note that on our ressie.

For most hotels, if you don't have the reservation secured with a credit card, it will be canceled as of 6:00 pm on Saturday. It would be best if you check directly with that hotel, to see what their policy is, unless you already have it secured with the cc and all of this is moot.

I had to use my credit card to hold the room, but nothing will be charged til we check out. Does this secure it for me as you say? I distinctly remember being told one time that we had til 7am the FOLLOWING day, but I'll call the day we leave to let them know our situation.
