Christmas Stuff - Jan 1-5? - The DIS Discussion Forums

We're planning a trip for 1/1 to 1/5 and are wondering what holiday things will still be going on. I know Osborne Lights are on thru the 4th.

What about resort decorations? Will the gingerbread house at GF still be up?

How about the MK parade? Will it be the regular parade or the Christmas version?

Will the decos on Main Street still be up?

Are there any other holidays things we will be able to see?

I think the decorations start coming down after that first January weekend, the 2nd and 3rd

I'm not sure how things change one year to the next, but when we went in Jan. 2006 (1/1-1/7)we saw quite a lot of Christmas decorations. The parks were all still decorated, Christmas music was playing, Osborne Lights, our resort was decorated(AKL) up until our departure day when the Christmas tree was magically removed(we didn't see them working on it at all), Characters were in Christmas garb at AK park, we saw the gingerbread house in Epcot.
I can't think of anything else. We didn't watch any of the parades, so I can't help you there, but Main street decorations were still up. Hope this helps!

I'm not really sure about the decorations in January. Not to change the subject or anything but the different decorations are really cool. Also, I hope you get to see them all cause my family and I always go in December when all the decorations are up and it looks awesome.

According to the Disney website, Osbourn lights are on until Jan 4.

I am so excited, we will arrive on Dec 30!!!!!

Does anyone know when the gingerbread house at gf comes down? How about decorations at the resorts?

Last night for Osborne lights and the Castle lights is the 4th.All the other decor will be coming down between the 4-6th.Not sure of the resorts, but they tend to come down pretty fast after the New Year.You may see some things, but not all of it and alot will be disappearing each day you are there
