Has anyone ever used Car Rental Savers? - The DIS Discussion Forums

I just used this service to book a minivan for a June 2010 trip and was able to get a rate through Dollar which seems to be a lot lower than other places. I had tried codes and coupons for many different car rental places and just happened upon this service. Has anyone used this service before? I hope that there are no hidden fees once I get to the Dollar counter. I called Dollar and the Car Rental Savers numbers and the customer service people said there shouldn't be a charge...but I worry about everything and I thought that the Car Rental Saver's person sounded really vague.

I didn't use Car Rental Savers service per se but used one of their codes for our car rental this past September at Alamo and had no problems and no additional charges.

Did you use their website and then their smart book option or was there a coupon for their code somewhere else?

I used them for my last car rental and it was no problem. I rented from Avis. I will be heading back on Friday and this time my cheapest rate was with Dollar but I have no concerns.

Thank you for reassuring me about Car Rental Savers. I had never heard of them and wasn't sure what their policies were. I feel much better now.

I peruse their site for whatever Alamo/Florida codes they have listed and then use it in conjunction with renting through Costco. I usually get a fairly decent rate that way.
