Smile White house state dinner gate crashers

A couple that were dressed as though they belonged and passed by the secret service. I heard the security was going to be very tight. This couple got up close to VP Biden and had pictures taken with them. Biden had his arm around the young lady so they looked like they were friends. This was a real breach of security and I'm sure the secret service have alot of explaining to do. The crashers posted there pictures on there facebook page and had a good laugh. What do you think about our White House security. I have heard if you act and dress like you belong you get into anything. I guess it's true. You can google this for more details.

It's disappointing to say the least. But at least this incident happened with relatively harmless people whoere were simply interested in furthering their chances of starring in a reality show, and not somebody with nefarious purposes.

The Secret Service agents on duty are going to have a lot to answer for. After all, if they could do it, so could somebody else with bad intentions. There were a lot of high profile targets in that room. I do hope that the couple faces some kind of charges. That kind of thing is not funny. I also hope it kills their chances to be on that stupid show. Idiotic stunts should not be rewarded.

I agree with you. They were lucky that these two were harmless but you can't bank on that. I hope they beef up security.

But you know they will be. If Octomom can get her 15 minutes of fame for dropping her litter, these people are going to have a cakewalk on cable TV.

I am really horrified that such a thing can happen. What in the heck were the Secret Service doing? Methinks a few heads shall roll.

I know I'm in the minority, but I thought it was funny. I'm sure it's not the first time it's happened, and probably won't be the last.

Apparently the woman is one of the ladies of the upcoming Housewives of DC show. Who knew the Housewives franchise could get loonier?

I thought it was funny too! Especially when it showed them being announced and walking through for photos

Can someone please explain how crashing a White House dinner is funny? I think I'm missing the joke. I hate being out of the loop.

It reminds me of the opening scene of True Lies. Where Arnie just walks into an embassy function as if he belongs. Well, after a few explosions, of course

If it is true and not a publicity stunt it would be rather worrisome.

I don't know - I've always been sort of a gutsy person myself - some people are born with it, some aren't. I think those of us who are a bit of a daredevil can understand the thrill of the attempt and the excitement of getting away with it. So, when I see someone get away with something like that - I get a kick out of it. Life is short, nothing wrong with living on the edge now and then
I realize not everyone understands the thrill of the attempt - which is why I prefaced my post with "I realize I'm in the minority".
