Money for the kids to spend in the parks - The DIS Discussion Forums

We've been to Disney World twice in the last 3 years and have another trip scheduled for March 2010. The first trip we bought Disney dollars at the Disney Store and gave them to the kids for chores they did around the house. Last year, I printed out the graphics of the Disney dollars (since I couldn't get them at our Disney store any longer) and we hid them around the house ($1 a night per kid) and they searched for them. Then we just gave them the total in cash when we got to Florida. For the next trip, we collected all of the coins around the house, in the cars and in my desk at work (to my surprise, we have about $275 and still have 3 months to collect more), which we'll use as a family for mad money in the parks.

I'm certain that there's another thread about this and if you read it or participated in it, please point me to it. My brief search came up empty. Other creative ideas for how you saved/presented money to your kids for Disney spending?

I have seen other people suggest a pre-paid card with a certain dollar amount loaded on it.
