Connecting rooms - doors open?

I know I have read on the boards that the doors connecting cains can be held open? I thought I read with bungie cords?? I don't remember but we are travelling with friends and would love to be able to do this...I just need to know what I need to bring! Thanks!!

We used the trash cans to keep the doors partially open.

I also just take a rubber door stop. The trash cans work great for holding it partway open, but they aren't heavy enough to hold it all the way open.

We brought two small bungee cords because people on these boards recommended them, and we sure were glad that we did, they worked great! I can't remember exactly what we attached them to, but I know there was something behind the door we were able to hook onto. They held the doors very tightly and we left them that way the whole trip!

Where can you find rubber door stops. I know it sounds crazy but I've looked everywhere !!

We just got off the Magic at the end of October, we just asked our room attendant for the rubber door stops, she immediately handed them to me. One less thing to pack.

FANTASTIC! This works out well since I was worried about what 4 kids (ages 11, 9, 7 & 4) would do with the bungee cords!

We use the short luggage rack type of bungee cords with the hooks on the end. They hold the doors tightly so that they don't bang around if the ship is rolling AND the kids weren't strong enough to remove them (yet - oldest just turned 8).

Your room steward will happily supply the door stops. One less thing to pack.

Our SRH has always given them to us. Have always kept the doors open, even when rocking the waves.

We also asked our room steward and he brought 2 stops right away. These were handy, as our little ones slept in the connecting room, so at night I was able to close their door to the exact amount that I wanted to. With bungees, the door would have been stuck all the way open or all the way closed.
