I am hoping that if I am lucky enough to get a bounceback offer during our January trip I will be able to book a GIRLS ONLY get away for my Mom and I. We were thinking about going from May 2nd -6th or the 9th-13th.

Has anyone gone at this time?

How is the weather ? Are the crowds unbearable? ( My last trip was in Sept, and this trip is January so I am used to lower crowd levels)

I also realize that this is the tail end of EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival. Are the flowers still fresh looking at this time, or are things wilted towards the end? Also how does this effect the crowd levels?

Mom is not a thrill ride rider, and I hope to be expecting

on the trip, so ride wait times are not a huge issue, but I would like the trip to be a fun time for me and my Mom to hang out.

First week is great. Weather is nice and crowds very manageable. Have fun!

Good to know. I think I might be going on my honeymoon the first week of May! Hoping for nice weather and low crowds!

I have been there for the first week of May the past two years. We are doing it again next year. The weather can be hot. It was in the upper 80s last time. We took a day and went orange picking and I remember that day be ridiculously hot. The crowds were not too bad and the Flower and Garden Fest is really pretty. No problem with the flowers looking wilted but I am sure they look much nicer at the beginning.

We are also going back in May. We usually go in late May but last year it was more crowded and lots of school kiddos taking field trips. We have decided to take a trip May 14-22. We will catch the very end of the Flower and Garden Festival. I am hoping for lower crowds with it being over and summer vacations not started yet. Any more thoughts on May?

My wife and I went the first weekend in May and it was great!! We only went to Epcot, on a sunday, and we practically walked on Soarin' and Test Track. We rode SE several times as it was walkon all day.
