POR~Making a building/room request and privacy curtain question

Help!! Last summer, we paid for a preferred room at AS Sports and that was a bust....waste of money....anyway....we want a GOOD building/room at POR. We would like to be fairly close to the food court and a bus depot. We are a party of five, so I know we will be staying in Alligator Bayou. Does anyone have a suggestion for us?

Also, (this question from the hubby). He is concerned about the privacy curtain. Surely there is a door that seperates the toilet and tub to the vanity area, right? I figure the privacy curtain just closes in the vanity (sink) area and that the toilet/tub has a door on the room. Normally this might not be a problem, but our DD (16) and her BFF will be with us!! Thanks

Bldg 14 is the one that fits all your needs, but everyone wants 14. 15 and 18 are pretty good as well if I remember correctly.
You are correct about the privacy curtain...it runs in front of the vanity area. There is, in fact, a door between the vanity area and the toilet/tub area..they are completely separate!! I loved having that curtain..it is so nice to get ready in the morning without having to wake everyone else up..just pull the curtain closed and you have some privacy, as opposed to trying to get dressed in the tiny bathroom area behind the closed door.

Buildings 14, 15, 18, or 27 would fit your needs. As the previous poster said everyone requests Building 14. We were in building 18 and it was perfect for us (close to the bus stop and to the main building). Being three adults we did not need the trundle bed, but out of curiosity I did look and the room did have a trundle bed.

You probably already know, but the Alligator Bayou section does not have elevators, so if you don't want to be climbing stairs several times a day, you might want to request a bottom floor. We did and our room was facing a very pretty courtyard type area that had lots of bunnies and squirrels right outside our door every morning.

Thanks guys! I thought I had read that Alligator Bayou does not have elevators....no biggie if we get a 2nd floor room, but I will request building 14 with a ground level room and maybe we will get our wish!!!

Does anyone know how long the water taxi ride is to Downtown Disney?

The boat takes around 20 mins as I recall. Very relaxing route to take and a change from the buses. We had bldg. 15 last time and it was great. Close to the main bldg and the closest to the bus stop.

Respectfully, and given the information provided above on the popularity of building 14, "building 14 with a ground level room" is much too specific and unlikely* to be met. "Close to __ and __" would allow the room assigners more leeway and increase your chances of being pretty close to both.

*granted, though, not impossible
