Girl's Party Ideas

Hi, I'm coming to the best place for advice!

My daughter is 10 on 23rd December and wants a small 'gathering' of her and about 4 friends. As she now considers herself 'grown up' she wants to go out for a meal. I have suggested that we also include a trip to the cinema. I'm on a pretty tight budget (Mr Tesco's vouchers will pay for Pizza Express and Orange 241 at the Cinema) but I would like to put a few special touches to the evening. Has anyone got any good ideas?

if shes anything like my DD (just turned 10) she probably likes sparkly glittery things, hair things, make up, jewellry etc all of which can be found quite cheap so how about doing a lucky dip instead of or alongside party bags - wrap lots of cheap bits in nice paper and put them in a box and let them take turns gifts. You could combine it with a quiz about the film you've been to see or about Hannah Montana, HSM, X Factor or whatever they are in to

I will definitely take a birthday cake with me and ask them to keep it in the kitchen. I like the idea of a lucky dip instead of party bags - Claire's accessories here I come!

My Dd was 10 this year - we did have party bags but I bought all the girls a body spray from superdrug - they were on offer at 99p each and have names such as flirty - they went down well
