Atlantis Beach Day excursion with Disney - The DIS Discussion Forums

So, the 15 minute walk to the bus, I am ok with, but I am wondering about the 10 minute walk from Atlantis to the bus.
Is this walk in a safe area? Is it easy to find? Is there anything about it I should know about before hand?

it's right outside the port, it's safe you will go by hair braiders and people selling water
the 10 min walk is mostly waiting around for people to catch up, the walk is with a large group of people, and not by yourselves

The area directly at the dock is fine. You'll disembark the ship, wait like herded cattle for the Atlantis people to organize everything, and then you'll be taken over to the transportation area. You don't really leave the dock area by much. They'll drop you right in front of the Atlantis resort.

When you return from Atlantis, you'll catch the bus (van) at the same place you got off in the morning. They'll wait until the bus (van) is full, so be prepared to wait and wait, and wait some more. The van will drop you off right where you got on near the dock. You'll just walk through a little market area that is inside the building (NOT the infamous straw market). You'll show your ID to the Bahamian officials, and walk down the dock to the ship. You can't even get onto the dock unless you belong there--so you'll be fine.
