Dragon Age: Origins

Curious if anyone here is currently playing this game. I'm addicted to it. It's like some kind of computerized crack.

I have it installed. Made my first character. Played about 10 minutes and haven't touched it since.... mostly because my World of Warcraft addiction is high at the moment... when it slows down, as it always does, I'll play Dragon Age.

WoW is one of those things I had to just go cold turkey on. It can suck me in like no tomorrow if I'm not careful.

My DH got it about 1 1/2 weeks ago...and plays it for 2-3 hrs whenever he gets the chance.

It must be a really, really good game. He's turned down dinner and a movie with me, and 'other' stuff as well .

I just can't get into games like that, but he is big into 'role playing' games like that, and says it is one of the best out in a very, very long time.

That's what I've been told too and maybe that explains my current addiction. Darn you Bioware!

It makes me afraid what the Star Wars MMO they are developing is going to be like. Is it going to be even more addictive than WoW?

DH got this for him and DS14. I have never been a "gamer" - I have a really hard time with right/left joystick, XYAB buttons, R/L trigger/bumper. But I have always enjoyed watching him play these games. Any of the Star Wars games and Fallout are some of the best. And while with Fallout, I will look stuff up in the guide and feed him info, I have never be interested in playing myself - until Dragon Age.

I love this game. He had it for a week, before he told me to make my on rouge and leave his alone. And it is really bad, because you have 4 of us fighting to play this game, as DD12 is playing as well.

He even told DS that mom can fight better than he can, even with her horrid camera angle skills. I just can't get the hang of moving the two different joysticks at the same time. Oh well...I'll just have to keep playing to get better.

Oh I still have trouble with that. I tried to play Left for Dead 2 with my DH the other day and had to stop. I just suck at using both joysticks at the same time like that.

I like playing a mage in DA so that I don't have to be so quick with adjusting camera angles and what not.

I'm playing the PC version here and I'd be finished it today if I didnb't have to get ready for Thanksgiving.

Oh well I'll probably finish it up on Friday after the out of town guests leave.

And that is why we have Thanksgiving and Christmas at our house. All those of the younger generation can take their pick of what room they want to be in. DS's room has PS2, DD's room has Wii, Den has GameCube and computer, dining room has 2nd computer, and the Xbox get moved out of the family room and into our bedroom.

The kids are all playing video games to their hearts content and the adults play cards for hours on end.
