Should I make a request at POFQ

Just wondering if I should bother. I know its a small resort and none of the builidngs are really "out of the way," but should I request a floor or building? I don't want to hear people jumping around above me, so I am tempted to request a top floor, but then again, I don't want to deal with elevators and stairs at midnight with the stroller. Any thoughts?

Everyone's experience and noise-tolerance is different, but I wouldn't worry about excessive noise from nearby rooms at POFQ. We stayed on the ground level of Building #5 for a week this past May. We noticed no noise at all, and were thriled with how convenient it was. Our room was maybe 20 yards from the food court! I suspect there may have been a bit more noise if we had a ground floor room in that same building facing the pool, but our room facing a courtyard/fountain was quiet.

I'd have to stay at POFQ more to confirm this, but I think one of the features of that resort is a general low level of noise. Have a great trip!

I always request a ground floor room at POFQ and have always been given one, never any noise from the room above during three stays. I also requested a corner room because there are two windows, even though we kept the blinds closed most of the time the room just felt larger and brighter. I've never requested a certain building, just asked for close to the main building, but really, even buildings 6 and 7 aren't an overly long walk to the bus stop or food court.

We stayed at POFQ this past March. We requested a room close to the main area, and were placed in Bldg. 5, on the 3rd floor. very quiet, and still very close to everything.
Hope this helps, and have fun! POFQ is a great resort, we loved it.

Last trip I didn't make a request and got a great room. Request if you know for sure you really want something specific.

We requested Bldg. 5, top floor; and upon check-in were given Bldg. 7, ground floor. We were told our request couldn't be accommodated since we arrived so "late" (4:00 p.m.). It did turn out however, that even though Bldg. 7 was the furthest away, it was still a relatively short walk to everything. That being said, we had to endure a lot of noise in our room every night, from the extremely loud people next door (they put us in a connecting room). Eerrgghh! Hope you have better luck!

We stayed there in Sept '08 in Bldg 3 ground floor. We had requested Bldg 5 ground floor. The walk to the bust depot and the food court was very short.

Thats what we love about POFQ - even when you are in the furtherst building - you are still close. We were married in Disney last November and all our guest stayed at POFQ and Disney put eveyone in Building 3. Everyone loved it.

If you get a chance stop by the Kit Cat Club - in the lobby of the POFQ. On Wednesday to Saturday nights - Elliott Dyson performs there in the evening. He is so wonderful - a great entertainer. Both kids and adults love him. Tell him Linda and Sheldon say hello.

We stayed in Building 3 and I didn't think it was the nicer section of
POFQ. When I went for a good long walk around the whole resort I
found that the buildings closer to POR were so much prettier (more lush
landscaping--quietier--wished we could have gotten that side of the resort).

We walked over to POR several times to eat dinner at the Riverside Mill
food court (which has much bettter choices and freshly made food).

Another thing I didn't care for at POFQ was there was only one Landry
room which everyone had to use--(it was packed with people and hot),
only one main pool (no quiet pools). We missed POR.
