Some recent cruisers had posted pics of the new outlook cafe when they came back from the cruise after drydock.

I seem to recall the Cafe holding approx. 65 or so people?

Does anyone know if they are doing anything else before Alaska? Covered pools or something?

Our server on the Wonder a few weeks ago said he heard that the outdoor dining area at Beach Blanket was going to somehow be enclosed.

We really enjoyed the new Outlook Cafe area. You can access it indoors via the midship elevators to deck 11 right next to the entrance to Aloft. I think it will be quite popular for the Alaska cruises!

If it's intended to be an Alaska cruise viewing area, that seems awfully small.

We were on an Alaska cruise earlier this year on the HAL Volendam (1,400 passenger capacity). It had an enclosed lounge at the front of the ship that easily held 250-300 passengers.

The ship also has a retractable roof over the pool deck, so people could use the pools or lay out during the day. Also, on nights that they scheduled "Dancing Under the Stars" or a Midnight Dessert Buffet on the pool deck, they could close the roof if it got too cold or started to rain.
