I don't spend a fortune on my makeup. Most of it is drug store brands. I'm currently using Maybelline Great Lash mascara but it rubs off easily and makes me look like a raccoon after a short while.
What mascara would you recommend for lasting a long time and not coming off until you take it off? TC

I use Almay in a white tube. I find if I dust my eyes/face with translucent power after I am done applying my makeup that it doesn't run. My problem is more my eyeliner than my mascara though.
I keep meaning to tell you how much you look like our kids' 4th grade teacher--you could be TWINS!!!

My two favorite brands are Lancome Definicils and Bare Escentuals, in that order. Lancome.com is currently having free shipping on all purchases, plus you can also use coupon codes to get free gifts.
My favorite eyeliner is Quickliner fromClinique. It goes on smooth and stays on. |

Cover Girl Lash Blast (orange tube)!
I'm ususally a department store/Sephora make-up snob, but I love this mascara - long lasting, adds body and volume, and doesn't flake. I highly recommend!

Cover Girl Professional Waterproof....it is in a blue tube. Make sure to get the one that says waterproof. It will not run while crying, sweating, etc. and it comes off by washing your face without a lot of other product. I swear by it. And it is CHEAP.....

Completely agree....LOVE Lash Blast. I've used the regular and the "shimmery" kind....the "shimmery" kind was not worth the extra $1. BUT I love Lash Blast. It's my favorite. I do want to try the Maybelline Stiletto Lash though.

OP - I had the same problem - everytime I wore mascara I would get the raccoon look, even with water-proof mascara.
Then someone told me about mascara that "tubes" your lashes instead of painting them like traditional mascara. Loreal's Double Extend uses the tubing technology and it is fantastic! It never smudges or rubs off, even when I cry or exercise. At the end of the day you just remove it with warm water by gently pulling the tubes off. |

That I can help you with.
Revlon's Colorstay eyeliner. It's a very soft pencil that goes on. It gives you a little bit of time to softly smudge it. Then it sets into your skin like a Sharpie permanent marker. Just make sure you do not have any moisturizer on the skin where you will be putting the Colorstay. And no residual eye makeup remover left on the eyes. You want clean skin, so the Colorstay will be absorbed into the skin so it can set. ![]() Quote:
Removing the tubes doesn't pull out the eyelashes? I have to put in eye drops a few times a day. I need a mascara that is water resistant, but washes off easily without oily removers.

I use waterproof and like Lash Blast, but the wand makes it hard for me to get the outer lashes. Maybelline Colossal Volume Express gets really good reviews...I liked it pretty well. Right now I'm using L'oreal's new Collagen mascara and really like it so far. It gives volume and keeps lashes soft and it is easy to remove even though it's waterproof.
I use Ponds cold cream to remove mascara/eye makeup. |

I CVS and have tried a lot of different drug store brands for free by doing their deals. My favorite by far is the Maybelline Collosal (sorry about the spelling). It comes in a fat yellow tube. Really, really like that one
Teh worst I have used is the Neutrogena. Truly awful. Threw that one away after a few weeks, but at least it was free

After watching America's Next Top Model hammer that product down my throat and a coupon I have, it is going to be my next purchase.
