Is the second weekend of Dec crowded?

We are thinking of going Dec 11-18, 2010. How are the crowds during this week?

Thanks!

I don't know either but we will be there 12/9-12/16. Like amccu18007 said..all I know is that is will be warmer than Massachusetts is now and cooler than our trip to Disney this past June! I will let you know about the crowds when we get back!

We've been that time of year and it's great! There are some crowds, but it's so much better than closer to Christmas Day. By the time we left on the 15th, the crowds had really built up.

The crowd levels are mostly 4s and 5s the 13 - 18th. I think the 12th is a 7 and the 16th is an 8.

So, it sounds like the crowds will be very manageable

Crowds

Usually that is a slow time and when we go,BUT with free dining the crowds have been much heavier than usual!!! if you haven't already booked it's doubtful you can get a room unless someone cancels and dinner reservations even more impossible!!!

I go each year during that basic time frame. While it will be slower that summer season, expect crowds to (literally) built day by day. You will still need to utilize FP especially for TSM and other "hot" attractions. Be sure to book yoru dining in advance as we have had NO luck with walk ups in the parks, even starting as early as 11:00 a.m.

Disney is "busy" the first couple of weeks in December but nothing like the crowds towards the end of the month. All holiday decorations are up so you are traveling during a great period. Enjoy your vacation.

Does anyone know why the 16th has a crowd level of 8? Being a Wednesday, I would think it would be lower!

First remember that the UG calendar is BASED ON MK ONLY. The reason is that it is a non-party day sandwiched between 2 MVMCP. It is the last NON-PARTY day of regular Wishes and the Regular parade.Spectro is also that night.More people ( especially non-party and non-park hopping)will take advantage of this day since there is no early closing for the party and the regular offerings are still showing.

I am not sure when the filming of the parade happens this year but two years ago when we were there I think it was about Dec 5-7, a week end, they were filming the parade that airs Christmas morning. A lot of celebs. were there in the park. Mainly the Magic Kingdom which if I remember right reached capacity that saturday. We avoided the MK that day.
