Limo service with early pick up from WDW

I want to use a limo service, but FL and Happy both say
10 am is the earliest pick up at WDW resort to travel to the port.

I want to arrive early to check for possible port upgrade.

Does anyone know of a service they would recommend that would pick up as early as 9 am?

If I can't find one may need to rent a car---DH doesn't want to worry with a rental if we can avoid it.

TIA

Donna

We alwasy use TiffanyTowncar (the one time I didn't I truly regretted it). They will be picking us up at 8:45 to head on down to the port in two weeks. I have never been told we cannot go that early.

They will try to tell you that's the earliest they are allowed to go into the port, which is not true. What it probably means is that's the earliest they have a vehicle available for you on that day.

We are using FL Tours in Jan. and they are picking us up at 9:15am? I think they can pick up earlier, but as PP stated may not have a car available any earlier...or they want to sleep in that day!

FL Tours will pick up earlier in a limo if you request it. You just have to request it. They say their standard time is 10AM.

We were picked up at 9:30 on the 15th. the driver was promt and very courteous.

jmho, but I think they say that b/c they are busy taking guests back to the airport post cruise. It's easier if they can drop those off at MCO, then pick up a new group back to PC.

We've used HL for 3 cruises now and just this last time they gave me some line about construction and not being allowed to get there so early. (I was requesting a 9:15 am pickup at the Hyatt.) They could do 9:45 and I went along and it worked out great; we had requested a grocery stop and while dh went in to Publix to get some bottled water, my parents ran into the liquor store next door which was just opening.

We still got there with plenty of time to spare and see characters. We had boarding #9 and still no line in Rockin bar D for Palo or dining changes. We needed to get in both lines and got what we needed just fine with minimal wait.

All 3x we rented a stretch limo with HL, we've been upgraded to something bigger: Escalade, Excursion, etc.

We booked a 8:45am pick up with FL tours for our October cruise and even tried to call and confirm, but never got anyone to pickup. I did get an email confirmation. The day before I got a call on my cell, from FL tours saying they would nto be able to pick us up until 10:30am, because all their cars (we reserved a Towncar) would be picking up at the port and the soonest they could be to the resort would be 10 or 10:30. I was upset because we had planned on being to the port early for an upgrade. Finally she said she had a van that could pick us up at 9:15 and we would be to the port by 10am.

We'll we took our time the next morning and when we got out to the front of the resort at 9:15, there was the dumpiest looking van and the driver had been there sense 8:45am. We told him that the front office had called and said earilest he would be there was 9:15. Well he was very nice and got us to the port by about 10:15am. He was also very nice. But the van was very old. the seatbelts did not work and there was not the requested booster seat, but it would not have worked with those seatbelts. So DD7 sat with a very loose seatbelt that did not secure her properly and my arm slug across her the whole trip.
I was very dissappointed in FL tours for after having a reservation for 3 months for a date and time, not letting us know they could not do that time. So if you have an early pick up with FL tours, I would suggest you call and double check.

I'm not saying you didn't have a good experience. I would have been upset given your circumstances. We had a limo though and not a van. I think also limo drivers for sure and possible other divers, are sourced out. We were lucky that we got a nice clean limo. Everything as very nice and neat and in working order. We didn't get the car seat we had requested twice though.

i DO agree to call and double check your time. We had requested the 9:30 time online but I think it's automatically reset to 10 or 10:30. I noticed that on my confirmation and called to have it fixed. That when they said they don't usually do it before then but will for a limo request.

FL tours & Happy Limo

Both told me 10am would be the earliest because they would be picking up at the port earlier.

Just find it hard to believe all their fleet would be at the port---asked about both a limo and van.

I want to be there by 10am.

Hmm, at this point there might not be any more available for that time. you might have to rent a car. Good luck. I hope you find someone.

We just used HL from CR to the port and were picked up at before that. When I first made the reservations they told me 10:00am but i called back later and asked them to change it to an earlier time and they had no problem with it. I did see them pick up another family going on the cruise before 9:00.

I don't think you should be worried. But you should call for sure. I don't know why we can request that on the site but it reverts to their standard 10AM time. Our did, but we called and we got it fixed. If you call you can verify it. I also did call and check 3 times about a car seat and they never had it. I wasn't kosher w/ that.

I'd call. We used them again in July 2009 and wanted a 9:15 - 9:30 AM pick-up. Made the reservation, when I called to confirm the reservation before arriving in FL, I was told that the time would be 10 AM because of picking people up at the port. This wasn't the first time we were told that. I thought if I could make the reservation online and they confirmed it online that I got the time I wanted, but apparetnly that wasn't so. This is one of the reasons we started using a rental car, but this time I was traveling alone with the kids and didn't want the hassle of dropping the car at the port.

Yea but with a rental car they have to pick you up at WDW, then take you to their store, then you drive to port, then get on the shuttle and then get to the ship right??? That sounds like so much trouble.

I just don't understand, if I make a ressie for a specific time and they confirm that specific time in an email then how can they bail on that time to pick up someone else??? That sounds like really bad business.
