I am rethinking out ADR's and could use some advise...

We currently have 1900 Park Fare reserved for breakfast on our MK day, now I am thinking that we would be better choosing Crystal Palace. Early entry to the park sounds nice.

Also, we have Beirgarten reserved for Dinner on our epcot day, now considering changing to the Garden Grill. I think the kids may enjoy the revolving restaurant.

If these were your options, which would you choose and why?

We've never done 1900 Park Fare so I can't really comment on it; however, I love the early ADR at CP and having unobstructed shots of the castle as we are walking down Main Street. Plus, love the characters and the puffed french toast.

I would KEEP Biergarten. Kids loves this place for the music/entertainment and can get up on teh dance floor and let off steam, etc. We've not done Garden Grill in over 12 years and were not overly impressed and you really don't notice the "revolving" that much that your kids would get that much out of it.

I definitely like the advantage of CP being inside the park...but it's probably hard to get an ADR for at this point. I would try to get one, and if you don't then I'm sure you'll still enjoy 1900.

I would go with Garden Grill just because German cuisine doesn't do anything for me. There are also characters are Garden Grill, so between that and changing scenery, I think kids would definitely prefer GG.

I haven't tried CP or 1900 Park Fare for breakfast yet so I can't really comment on that one. But with your dinner options, I would definitely choose Garden Grill over Biergarten! My kids are too picky for German food (although I would personally love it!) but they both LOVED Garden Grill when we visited in October. MY DD(9) noticed right away that we were moving and had so much fun looking down over the railing as we waited for the characters to come to the table. DS(3) was too obsessed with waiting for "CHIPNDALE" (he calls them both that) to really realize we were moving but even he enjoyed it when we moved into the room with the buffalos and the prarie dogs. They both seemed to like the food, but it was definitely the revolving scenery that they enjoyed the most.

^^^ I would agree with you about breakfast. Switch from 1900 Park Fare to Crystal Palace for bkfst. Now for dinner I would keep Biergarten. We've never been to GG but continue to read and hear terrible reviews of the food there. I guess you could try it once and judge for yourself. On the other hand I hear great reviews of Biergarten.

We LOVED Biergarten, I would keep it!

We also did CP before the park opened and I will do it every trip now. I loved being in the park with very few people and getting those empty park shots!

I love Biergarten, but if you have less than 8 in your party they will likely seat you with another party - just in case you don't like that idea. Kids seem to love the band and the dance floor. I do not like the food at Garden Grill (although it's been years and they've probably changed some things) but I'm indifferent to the characters - if you think you'd prefer a character meal that's the one.

I'd go with Crystal Palace and Biergarten if you have to choose.

We are doing all 4 of the meals you mentioned on our next trip, just so we don't have to choose

YES, YES, YES to the early ADR at Crystal Palace (if you can get still get one). We did it for the first time with 8:05 last Sunday. We ended up being the first guests to walk into Town Square, and yes, we were so giddy about it we actually skipped a few steps. And we were two 40-yr-olds
Oh, and by the way, the food was really good!

Being in the MK for the rope drop was a great benefit of having an early ADR at CP.

Biergarten can be a fun place with kids, especially with the live band and dance floor.

Thanks everyone, looks like the consensus is Crystal Palace and Biergarten.

What if I throw one more in the mix for Dinner. We can also get a diner at Ohana's, would this be a better choice than Biergarten?

e

Before you get your hopes up have you even checked to see if you can secure a CP breakfast reservation? It's pretty popular to choose CP for an early breakfast. For all it's worth we have eaten at both CP and 1900 PF and liked both breakfast. So if you have to keep 1900 PF don't be disappointed the food was good and the MadHatter was very funny!
