Calling all George Foreman Grill Users..

I'm looking at getting one. Currently the only time I make burgers is outside on our grill. And well steaks..never really. I am looking at getting either the round one that comes with different plates or the one with a digital timer. Do you like yours? what all do you cook in them? I always hear everything but like what? Thanks and maybe my husband will start getting steaks.

I have also looked at the cuisanart one and found not as good of reviews??

I love my George Foreman grill. I only have the small one, but as I'm single it's fine for me. I use it for everything. I've done burgers, cube steaks, hot dogs, sausage, etc. I've also used it for things like frozen chicken patties (breaded) and grilled veggies on it as well. Love it!

I agree with PP I love mine and use it for lots of things.
We are on our second one, we got the small one.
It has saved me from having a cold sandwich for lunch many times. I do wish I had the larger one.
I think you would be happy with either one.

We have one, and I don't like it. I'd never make a nice steak on it....never. The only way I like my steaks is grilled, unless we get them in a restaurant.

I think the GF overcooks everything, and my meats get all hard and crusty on outside.

The only thing I use my GF for is making Panini's.

We have a very old, small one. I cook burgers or hot dogs on it occasionally. Mostly my kids use it to cook quesadillas.

I have the cuisine art griddler and I like it a lot. Bought it to replace an old George Foreman. The plates come off so clean up is easier, and it has the flat plates which are good for pancakes, bacon, quesedillas. The hinge mechanism works well when you are doing thicker things too--it lifts up the top instead of just opening and closing. (I know, I'm doing a terrible job of explaining). It also has a wide range of temperature settings.

On the grill-type plates, I do hamburgers, chicken breasts, grilled sandwiches, grilled veggies. I don't do steak on it. When we splurge on steak, we do it on the outside grill.

I've got one and I like it. The plates come off for easy cleaning. I use it a lot for fish. Sometimes I grill chicken breasts, pork chops, sandwiches. Occasionally, I do hamburgers.

We had a little white one, then a larger white one, and how have a big red one with removable plates. Love, love, love the removable plates. DH uses it the most, he makes hamburgers, chicken, steak etc on it.

We've got the large white one and it's a bear to clean, but I use it for everything and it's great for meat, the meat cooks fast so you do have to watch it or it will get overcooked. Grilled cheese is really easy and no clean up. I would get the ones that come apart to clean.

I have a medium sized grill with removable plates. It grills shrimp and chicken beautifully.

I have a nice built-in gas grill on the patio but a bird built a nest inside it and her eggs hatched right before Memorial Day weekend a few years ago. I resisted the frequently suggested remedy of simply turning on the grill and roasting the birds in-nest...

We have a small one but we don't use it very often. The drawback to the model we have is that there is no temperature knob on it, so the longer it is plugged in, the hotter it gets! If we were just cooking one serving it would probably be OK, but when DH has made chicken strips that took a couple of batches the ones toward the end were burning because the grill was so hot.

Bought very large one for mom years ago. She's given it back to me. I only use it to cook BUBBA burgers when I can't do them outside. It's an ordeal to clean, but easier than cleaning the broiler pan in from the oven. Don't care for it.

I really don't like meat cooked on mine - except hot dogs and bacon. I use it mostly for quesadillas and sandwiches.

We have a Hamilton Beach indoor grill, the family size one. It's great! Has a timer and removeable plates for easy cleaning. Ours is getting pretty old (about 4 years old) and the non-stick is starting to come off the plates, so we're going to buy a new one if I can't just buy the plates from the manufacturer.

Also, when I melted the grease catcher in the dishwasher, I called them up to see if I could buy a new one and they sent me one for free!

ETA: we used to use ours ALL the time. We cook pork chops, chicken, hamburgers, steaks, peppers & onions, whatever on there.

I have a little one. I do burgers and steak tips on it, and have considered toasting sandwiches. I find it burns the outside of chicken before the inside cooks. A friend makes french toast on hers and says it's wonderful for that. She also cooks bacon on it. It would probably be good for hot dogs, though I haven't used it for that.

Oh...don't drop a George Foreman grill. I dropped my mom's when I was in college and it smashed.
