question regarding purchasing the dining plan

I recently booked a last minute trip for December. We are staying at a disney resort. I didn't purchase our park tickets through disney. Can I call disney and purchase a dining plan or perhaps buy it when we get to the resort.

Thanks!

Unless you are DVC staying on points or have an AP, the only way to get the Disney Dining Plan would be to add tickets. The Dining Plan is only available as a packaged deal. You could buy a one day ticket for everyone in the room and save them for your next trip though.

In addition to the above, you cannot purchase a dining plan upon arrival. You must have a package reservation booked and dining added no later than 72 hours prior to arrival.

Unless you purchase at least a one-day park ticket for your entire party as part of a package reservation, there doesn't appear to be a way for you to add a dining plan, unless at least one of your tickets is an adult annual pass (or you are DVC members - if you are a DVC member you must have the dining plan added to your DVC reservation no later than 24 hours before arrival)
