DCL Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Balloon

I was just looking up the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade and saw that there is a Captain Mickey Balloon from DCL. Is this a new? I also found this: http://www1.macys.com/catalog/produc...tegoryID=30604

Yes, it is new this year. They are calling it "Sailor Mickey" and making no reference to DCL....interesting.

If you go to Macy's you can get a plush Sailor Mickey with an alarm clock for $14.95...he is very cute, about 18" tall and when you squeeze his hand, he says 3 different sayings.

They have them on displays near cash registers, and people have been able to order them online as well.

Enjoy!

Thanks for posting the DCL link. I read a Macy's article that was all about "Sailor Mickey" but not a word about DCL!

The balloon looks cool, but I did not care for the plush when I saw it in person.

I got the plush yesterday for my husband and will give it to him for the holidays. He is much larger than I had thought he would be.

Well, on NBC during the parade today, they said that Sailor Mickey was from Disney Cruise Line, and then proceeded to mention the new ship Dream and the AquaDuck, so it did end up being DCL based.

I'm in NYC for the weekend. We didn't go to the parade but we did go to Central Park last night to see the balloons. Mickey was one of the first ones we saw after exiting the subway. The balloons were held down by huge nets but you could see the balloon. We were able to get up really close. It was very neat. I didn't get any photos of Mickey because the views just didn't work. We did get some neat shots of Horton and the Macy's balloons.

Some Photos

Just a couple of shots from the night before when they are inflated and from the parade. Buzz's balloon was also very cool.
