Making up lunch from breakfast

ive seen on another forum how people make up rolls for lunch from breakfast, this doesnt appeal to me as dining is part of the experience for me especially as im a lover of food

anyway some guy posted this:

another good way to get free food is to go into a restaurant, say Lucky Nugget for example - ask if the kids can urgently use the loo, then when the staff aren't looking get them to cram as much stuff from the buffet as they can can into their pockets. We do it all the time, saves us bundles, and the kids think its great fun

That's just theft, surely? I'm shocked anyone would do that.

That's just stealing. If he got caught, he could get arrested. What a very very stupid man, and what an awful example to set his children.

We don't take any food into the parks apart from a couple of bottles of water, yes the food is expensive, but to be totally honest, if you can't afford a few Euros for a hotdog, then you can't really afford to be there in the first place.

Omg surely he was joking

I cannot belive anyone who can afford a trip to DLP could then be so short of cash they'd have to resort to that!

OMG, is he for real?? We took some snacks in with us, but largely because Lottie is a faddy eater at times and I have allergies, so need to be careful what I eat!

What a sensible thing to teach your children! I dread to think what Lottie would bring us if she did that!! I have visions of kids in gangs like Oliver Twist going round the buffets now!!

I'm sorry that is just disgusting.

Plus what kids wants to carry around wet, soggy or hot food in there pockets? I'm also pretty sure the CM's at Lucky Nugget would refer you to the nearest toilet.

What a shame
I can't understand why people do it. apart from the moral issues it must taste horrible later on. I would rather bring cereal bars/crisps/apples etc with us or have snacks in the room if we couldn't afford lunch.

Thats awful. What a thing to teach the children. I dread to think how they will turn out.

Me too on the dining experience, I am so looking forward to it

EUGH!! Do you KNOW what else kids have in their pockets?? If my kids did this (and I can certainly say they wouldn't) they'd be sweets, wrappers, the odd tiny polly pocket, tissues, last weeks school letter and no doubt a bit of mud stuck to the food!!

If you wanted to steal food would it not be a lot easier to take a plastic container, napkin or plastic bag to put it in. I don't understand the need to distract the CM's by asking for the loo, I've used the loos in LN, it's not a big deal you walk up and go in
Do you think this was a tongue in cheek reply to the breakfast comments ? That's how it comes across to me, but I can be quite sarcastic, so it's the kind of thing I might say

It wasn't me BTW.
