Lego Rock Band for wii??? - The DIS Discussion Forums

Does anyone have it??? Will my 5y/o be able to play it with the regular wii controller or does he need the special guitar controller?
He is pretty good at video games and really likes all the lego ones(lego batman, indiana jones, star wars ect.) But I dont want to get it if I have to buy a seperate controller for him to play it with.

Yes you need all of the special band like controllers. It has a no fail option in the game menu that lets the kids play and it won't end the game if they mess up. My 4 yr old can play the drums and my 8 yr old plays the drums, bass and guitar. You can use any of the instruments from Rock Band 1, 2, or Beatles full sets. You can also use the instruments from Guitar Hero world tour or 5 full sets. Some of these sets can be found on clearence at Target and Walmart

For Christmas, we bought lego rock band for wii with the Rock Band 2 standalone guitar controller and the Rock Band 2 standalone drum set. I hope it all works together! I wish it came as a bundle for those of us who don't have any experience with Rock Band!
