Question Chef Mickey's... breakfast or dinner?

What do you like the best? Breakfast or Dinner and why?

I thought it would be nice to go for dinner our 1st day so the kids can get autographs... but we never went for breakfast before. The bad part is we'd have to give up a morning rope drop at one of the parks I suppose, but it would be worth it if breakfast was nicer.

We're on the dining plan, so either works as far as $$ is concerned.

Thanks in advance for your help!

I was not impressed with their dinner and would never do it again. The breakfasts at the buffets are usually pretty good. There is a character spot at Epcot where you can see Mickey, Minnie and the gang and if you go first thing when the park opens, the line is not bad.

We love breakfast at Chef Mickey's! It is awesome and the food is pretty good, for the buffet style! LOL I love the whole atmosphere! It rocks!

I would actually say dinner. Maybe it was because we had a really early reservation for breakfast and I wasn't particularly hungry yet, but I didn't think that the selection for breakfast was that big and I didn't eat very much. I remember dinner being a better experience for me - the Mickey-shaped ravioli and oreo-pudding things were awesome!

I would go on www.allears.net and compare menus to see which meal appeals to you more and go with that one.

Last year we had an 11:20 ADR at Chef Mickey's on the day MK had morning extra magic hours. (it was a Thursday). I only booked it for the characters, and was mad when DH told me we had such a late breakfast. Well we woke up early that day, grabbed a snack, and was at MK for EMH. We got to do several rides in Fantasy Land with DD. At about 10:30 we headed out of the park, and took the monorail to CR. We were early, and had to wait, but it was well worth it. The food was very good! I loved the breakfast Pizza and cheesy hashbrowns. DH ate so much I was a little embarrassed. The characters were wonderful, and since we had such a late breakfast, it seemed like we had more time with the characters. Dh told me to make two ADRs for breakfast at Chef Mickey's this time around (I only made one, sorry DH). I never at there for dinner, but enjoyed breakfast. It is our "must do" on every trip now!

We usually have dinner at Chef Mickey's (a tradition on our first night there...kind of kicks us right into the Disney spirit!) But we did have breakfast on our last trip and thought it was much better than dinner. And you can easily make RD at MK. We had a 7:00am breakfast, walked to the MK and were there in plenty of time for RD!

Breakfast definitely! I love the selection that they have and anywhere that has Mickey waffles is ok in my book!

We enjoyed both. We actually had better character interaction at dinner. I swear Goofy was hungover at breakfast, he sort of just passed over and said hi and moved on. He was definitely dragging. I think whichever works better for you, I don't think you can go wrong.

Had breakfast at Chef Mickeys on Saturday and it was not very good food wise. We were among the first groups seated and the food was already cold at the buffet. The characters were great though.

Definitely breakfast. Although dinner wasd not awful, it wasn't very good (not as bad as H&V, but not very good either).
