Breaking news terror alert in Chicago

The Chicago Bears football practice was delayed nearly two hours today after a player reported finding an unknown white powdery substance on the practice field. Head coach Lovie Smith immediately suspended practice and called the police and federal investigators.

After a complete analysis, FBI forensic experts determined that the white substance unknown to players was the GOAL LINE.

Practice resumed after special agents decided the team was unlikely to encounter the substance again this season.

The Bears are the only pro football that DH likes but he's not following them like he used to. This cracked me up!

My ex-BF is one of the Bears' beat writers for the Chicago Sun-Times and used to LOVE harassing me about the Rams' "performance" on a given weekend. Of course, he can certainly still do that (and who would blame him?!), but it's nice to be able to give a little back.

Based on how they've been playing, I'm surprised to learn they actually practice....

I hope they aren't going to use this as an excuse that they've all been traumatized from this incident.

Coulda substituted "Raiders" for Bears, but the Raiders finally won one on Sunday. But it's been a dismal football season in the Bay Area, with the 49ers screwing up too.
