Me! I've gone to Virginia Beach for a weekend with my 2 daughters, when they were in their very early 20s, as opposed to the mid-20s that they are in now.
While I went there with them, their dad was in Yellowstone with our youngest daughter. So, he and she had a "father-daughter" trip, while me and the older 2 were on our trip. On Friday, the youngest-who is now 14-will go with me on our trip to WDW, without her dad. I've also flown to Chicago with my oldest for a weekend, and spent a weekend in Philly with her too, just the two of us. I've taken the middle daughter and the youngest each on their own separate weekend trips to NYC, again each trip was just the two of us. Best advice: let your daughters see you as you really are, and not just as "MOM". Let your hair down and relax. Put aside your motherly persona, and be a friend, and let them get to know you as a person and not just mom.

I'm a single mom from Monroe MI, so I drive solo to WDW all of the time with my kids (we usually go every other year). Keep yourself hydrated and well-rested. I usually take 2-3 days to get there with lots of cd's and dvd's. I take I-75 and recommend Dave Hunter's "Along I-75". Have fun!

Hi fellow Michigander Mom! I just did a road trip with my 23 year old DD in September. She graduated from college in May and has a job in Ann Arbor but she had to be in California for the first 4 months for training. She decided she wanted her car there so we road tripped out there. A little different than driving to WDW since in our case the road trip part was the whole trip and when we got there I jumped on a plane back to Michigan the next day, but it was wonderful!

I agree with the above poster on getting Dave Hunter's (Along I-75). I would enjoy some of his side trip suggestion's and make that a part of your vacation. I have stayed in many different area's along the way. Georgetown,Lexington,Corbin (kentucky.) Dalton, Tifton, Perry, Valdosta,Cordele (Georgia) and all have been good area's to make a stop for the night. Susan
