Smile Do you do photo family Christmas cards every year?

I've only done them a few times - could never get my kids and my stepkids together at the same time, so that didn't work..

Did them when my DGD was born - and then in 2006 when I took my DD and her family to Disney for Christmas..

And what do you do with the ones you receive after the holidays? For us they go in the scrapbook of that year..

We try to do a family photo card every year. I love getting them from our friends. I scan the ones I receive and include them in my photo book after.

We have never done anything other than the kids, but maybe this year we will do everyone. Maybe just have someone snap a few in front of the tree (going up this Friday!!!) or something simple like that.

We don't do the family Christmas card photo. We only keep the ones that are of good friends - and only if the whole family is in it. I don't like getting just photos of people's kids - I usually throw those away. I'm just as interested - even more so - in seeing my friends and how they look lately than getting photos of their children.

We send a photo card every year. I have a Christmas box that they get put into when we take the decorations down and we will go through them every couple years. We save all the letters too so they are fun to read again and reminisce.

I do photo cards of my kids every year. I usually take the pic myself, this summer we stayed at the The Inn at Christmas Place in TN and I took a really good pic of them with Santa. Some might wonder why they have on tees and shorts, lol. Most seem to like getting them. If I receive one, I display it for the holidays and then put it with my other photos.

No kiddos here, but DH and I took a picture at WDW on our Honeymoon that we are photo carding for Christmas.

Don't know if we will make a tradition of it, though...

Yes, although it shoots my blood pressure through the roof trying to get everyone to look the same direction and smile, especially with a 2-year-old and a 4-year-old. I never get the people who send me just a picture of their kids, except maybe very close friends and relatives. Most of the time it's someone I knew from high school or college. I'll probably never meet their kid. What does a picture of two random kids mean to me? Let's face it, no one is as interested in your kid as you are. I'm more interested in seeing how my friend looks or a photo of the whole family together so I can see who looks like whom, etc.

We had some really good pictures from our Disney cruise in June- us on formal night- we coordinated with Mickey and Minnie(of course on purpose) - I got a black photo card with stars that had some pretty gold ornaments. It turned out great. Here is the picture- I know DH never smiles.

We do a photo card, but don't take a Christmas-y picture specifically for it. I just try to find a picture taken earlier in the year that I like.

Two years ago we used a picture of the whole family from my brother's wedding (We were all in the wedding and had one pic the photographer took of just DH, the kids, and I).

Last year we used a picture of the whole family with Mickey & Pluto from our Disney trip.

This year we didn't have any great pictures of the whole family. We're going with this one from our Disney trip, but we only give them to close family/friends who do want pics of our kids They already know what we look like and will appreciate the personality.

We usually just do one of the 3 ds, but this year I did one with the whole family. We just did it sun. I had a little girl at church take the picture. I figure its probably the only time we were all in one place and looked halfway decent. Figured also everyone would want to make sure I was still alive after the cancer, coma and 7 operations this year
