Guitar Hero Bundles $40 gift card at Walmart...$5 Profit on Guitar Hero 3

Just copied this from my blog, but thought you would enjoy

Great Deals on Guitar Hero Bundles right now at Walmart!

Guitar Hero III Bundle (includes game and guitar) for Wii, PS2, & PS3 - $35 get a $40 gift card back! - $5 Profit!

Guitar Hero - World Tour Bundle (includes game and guitar) for Wii, PS2, & PS3 - $55 get a $40 gift card back! - $15

Guitar Hero 5 Bundle (includes game and guitar) for Wii, PS2, & PS3 - $99 get a $40 gift card back! - $49

A guy in the office came in today with a Huge grin on his face and tells me... "I have a deal for you."

He told me about this, so I sent my husband and cousin off to Walmart to check it out.

They got there and said there was a small sign stating that Guitar Hero Bundles, Band Hero, and DJ are included in the giftcard deal.

Of course I was interested in the small priced items, but all our store had was the Guitar Hero - World Tour Bundle and Guitar Hero 5 Bundle. So I had my DH pick up 3 sets of the World Tour version. And he did get back $40 gift card after each purchase.

These will make great Christmas gifts!

Thanks to Kitzka for mentioning this:
If you are planning to buy Band Hero, DJ Hero, or Guitar Hero 5, Amazon.com has a similar promotion!

Awesome! Report back! I felt the same way until I could confirm!

BTW I am in Southern Illinois and it was confirmed at 6 stores between my cousin, husband, and "the guy in the office".

I just checked online at walmart.com and you can check online and see if they have in stock and everything around me is showing sold out. That's too bad would have made a great gift for my cousin's daughter

Use the tool online to find the nearest Walmart with some in stock. Then call them and ask if they would put a one hour hold on it. This is what we did when I sent my DH to pick them up

I can confirm this for walmarts in Norther NJ. DH went first thing Sat morning and got a DJ Hero bundle and the gift card.

Unfortuantely, he discovered Sun night that he got the xbox 360 version not the Wii version. When he went back they were sold out.

Luckily Amazon has a smilar deal so i was able to get it there. I will use the $40 code to get a game for DD and since i have an amazon prime membership will be able to get the game for $10!

Aww sorry to hear that guys

I did find out this deal was going on as early as Saturday, so maybe everyone caught on.

I did do a search and didn't find any blogs commenting on it.

I did go online and it showed availability for all three guitar hero bundles and the store said they are sold out. They are probably sooo sick of checking on things for people they probably didn't even bother to look!!! I never shop at Walmart, but went in after work last night and was even in the electronics dept looking at their prices on I-pod nanos. Once a year i'm in there and I find out the next day. Just my luck!!!

how can you search Walmart.com? The only ones I see that match the names are sold online only and only guitar hero 5 is available in store and searchable.

Here is a link to Guitar Hero World Tour for the PS3 - scroll down a little down and it will say "Find in Store" and you enter your zip code.
