I think I'm going to cry

I was so excited when I got a pin for regular free dining for our trip in 3 weeks. Then gradually I became less excited as I decided to book ADRs that were convenient as opposed to the fun ones I really wanted. The one I was really excited about though was Chef Mickeys. Unfortunetly I had to take a 7:35 ressie and just realized that this falls exactly between Spectro and Wishes. I'm trying to see if any other times have opened up but I really just want to sit here and cry. We're only doing MK one day

Is there anyway you can go back to MK one night and just see Spectro and Wishes?

You may want to try a walk-up when it opens at 5:00 but that would be rough too to get back to MK in time. Closing is 9:30, I don't know if you would want to try after Wishes, that's really late. Can you try another night?

How about changing Chef Mickey's to a breakfast reservation?

This could be one of the problems with free dining. Lack of availabilty of what you really want!

Sounds to me like you booked this vacation to experience the parks...Spectro, Wishes, the attractions, etc. The free dining is just a bonus!
You get an ADR you want? Cool!
You don't? That's cool too -- and either way it will be free to eat!

Keep you eye on the prize, and chin up, you're going to Disney World!!!

This is a good idea. We did the Chef Mickey breakfast and had a great time.

I would also try and see if you can get any Chef Mickey's breakfast reservations in. I've been for both breakfast and dinner and both are fantastic!

Also consider Chef Mickey's for a late breakfast, which could serve as lunch instead. Not many people would book breakfast as late as 11 or 11:30 but that's what we did on 11/8. We had a ressie for 11:20am, and I think they close at 11:30am. But the place was still hopping. Some of the food wasn't as fresh as could be, but the overall experience was still fun and it's also fun having breakfast food for lunch (we had cereal in the room at 7am for our real breakfast). You might find better availability closer to that 11:30 cutoff.
