Osborne Lights best day - The DIS Discussion Forums

I am trying to figure out whether it is better to go see the Osborne Lights on a day when there is no Fantasmic under the assumption that not as many people would choose the park on that day or go when there are two showings and I might be able to wander, crowd free, while everyone is either watching or trekking their way out of the auditorium.

Can anyone offer me any suggestions?

Thanks a bunch, leaving in 4 days.

When we went 2yrs ago - we found the best time was during a fantasmic showing. Everybody is in watching and the Oborne lights was very empty.

I thought the same thing but since my only other night I can go is one where they have TWO showings I thought maybe a high percentage of the folks at DW would choose to go to MGM that particular night and at least half of them would be competing with me over the Lights.

Decisions, decisions!

I would suggest night is better

Aside from that, If you see them during the second showing of Fantasmic, alot of the people from the first showing will already have left.

The crouds can varry greatly in the same night, if it looks too busy, return later after doing something else.

Actually, though, I am wondering about which day because I did not get AP's this trip and we do not have park hopping so we cannot just scoot to another park at will, not that we ever did much of that any old who.

I am thinking that the first session of Fantasmic might be getting out and heading over just as the hoards at Osbornes are heading over for the second show so I might get double teamed.

My husband has issues and I have to make things as simple and uncrowded as I can for him. He does not understand that other folks might want to see the same thing as he does and he is capable of throwing a hissy fit if they get in his way. Myself, I am easy going and just sit and people watch any old way.
