Did Adam Lambert just kill his career before it even started?

If you saw the AMA's, you know what I mean. I won't post it, but the video can be found on youtube and other sources.

Okay I'm curious. What do I type into you tube? Was it a performance, an interview, or what?

An over the top sexual performance with ... well.... you go find it.

And as posted, he sounded terrible, as well.

I never watched him on American Idol. So, I sat through the AMAs to see what all the fuss was about. Really?? That's the incredible singer everyone goes on and on about. His singing was lackluster and the dancing/gyrating spectacle was pure nonsense. I am no prude, I loved Lady Gaga's performance. I appreciate performance art. But this dude? What a waste of airtime.

Is this another Kanye type faux-pas? Or was it deliberate to attract attention so people (like here) will be discussing it and looking at the video?

There was a time when a performer had to do something as spectacular as the moonwalk to be recognised. Nowadays, it seems one only has to be vulgar or highly innapropriate or controversial and they are all over the news & blogs.

Okay, I just watched it. The singing was awful. He sounded so much better on American Idol. I did enjoy the choreography, although it was definitely not appropriate for a younger audience. Hopefully, his voice on the album will sound more like the Adam of old.

I just watched his performance too. Unless there's some other video segment I missed, this just reminds me of Madonna's S & M period during her "Justify My Love" period. So, Lambert did some male crotch move. I don't see that as being considered worse than Michael Jackson grabbing his own crotch and singing "Hee-Hee!" And children did see that.

I hope he killed his career. That was gross but I have always found him annoying. For some reason I always think "demented Ethel Merman" when I hear him hollering! Or "freaky Goth Liza Minelli." Just weird.

i just watched it because i keep hearing how bad it was and yeah....it was pretty bad.

none of it "bothered" me the way it might have bothered others but i was kind of bored, actually. i've seen more "shocking" things, it seems like he's just trying too hard.

plus he sounded awful. i never liked his voice on Idol but this was even worse, idk what happened.

and did he fall during the performance?? lol!

and lol at him kissing that guy i think he knew his performance wasn't going so well and wanted to do something "shocking" or something to get people "excited"

I just watched it on youtube. Yes it was disgusting and I was a fan of his on AI. I'm more disturbed by the aggressive nature of which he did his "dance move". And the kiss at the end of the video was purely for shock value but again because of the aggressive nature I just found it appalling. Not my cup of tea.

Adam Lambert's performance was disgusting.
That kind of act does not belong on television.
