Park Crowd Question...

My cousin and I are leaving next weekend on a DW vacation (very excited!). I'm actually very concerned about how the crowd level will be in the parks the Sunday after Thanksgiving. We're not getting a park hopper but have a 4-day ticket (one park per day). In planning each day, we narrowed the plan for that Sunday down to either going to Magic Kingdom or Hollywood Studios (we feel we MUST visit all 4 parks). Does anyone have an idea as to which of the 2 parks is less likely to be extremely crowded? Which park would YOU visit that first day? I really need some advice/opinions on this. Thanks in advance!

Emh

Although many plan around EMH's...I have always planned to visit during EMH's....and we've had good luck with this....

SO if DHS has EMH's that first day...I would say ...take advantage of it...if you are able to..

I know folks with younger kids can't.

MK is always our first park of choice...but we will change the plan based on EMH's if necessary...

Have a magical visit!

Mary

what time you arrive factors into it as well. If you are headed to the parks at say 2, you'd have 5 hours at MK (closes at 7) or you'd have 9 hours at DHS (which closes at 11 because of EMH). sounds like a no brainer

Don't go to DHS on an EMH day without hoppers. The whole day will be more crowded than any of the other days you're there. There's no point in being a part of that big of a crowd all day just to stay longer at night.

fyi, there is a MVMCP on the 29th at MK, so you'll miss Wishes. If fireworks is something you want to see at MK, then you'll want to plan on being there another night. Fantasmic! will be performed at DHS at 6:30 and 8.

Just got back last week. Went to DHS on an EMH day and thought it was great. We had friends visit and the only thing we did not do was Star Tours and BAcklot Tour, and this was by design. Was able to do TSM twice, and go to two Idol shows, Fantasmic, Indiana Jones, Lights, Motor Action, One Man's Dream, Muppets, World ofAnimation, Beauty and the Beast,Litlle Mermaid, TOT, and Rockin Roller Coaster, Narnia, and The Geat Movie Ride. We even had time for lunch!
I don't mean to sound "mean", but I am glad people avoid the EMH parks, as it makes it more doable for those of us that try and take advantage of them.
