Ideas for vacation places near West TN.....
I don't think we can head to Disney Summer of '10 so I have been trying to think of places to visit for my family of 3 (DH, DD (14) and Me). We have been the beach area around Orange Beach, Al and Pensacola Beach, FL alot so I was trying to find another beach area. I really want to go to Disney but even a value resort package is more $$ than I think we can spend. Any ideas that are less than 12 hrs from West Tn???

We try to go to Hilton Head every summer. It may be a bit over 12hours depending where you live.

I have a timeshare but we have stayed at the Disney resort there and loved loved it. We go to the beach, movies, shop at the outlet mall. In the summer they have fireworks every Tuesday at shelter cove with street performers in different places on the island. We always have a great time.

We love going to North Myrtle beach, Charleston and Savannah (which are all about 8 hours or less from our home in Knoxville). Of the three places, North Myrtle is the least expensive. If you prefer to be more in the middle of all the action, Myrtle Beach has tons of things to do. We usually just prefer to play on the beach and relax on our vacation. Elliott Realty is a great place to find rentals in Myrtle Beach and we have always had wonderful luck with VRBO.com for places to stay in Charleston or Savannah. Have fun!!
