Best place to watch Spectro/Wishes with young kids?

i guess my first question is... does Wishes happen right after Spectro, as in should we stay in the same place? If so, what is the best location to watch if we have 2 young kids? Or is there a better place to watch Spectro, and then move to another location for Wishes? Thanks!

I'd like to know, too. I've read that Frontierland is a good place to catch the parade, so I think we will try that. It seems like that would be a good place to see the fireworks, too.

I'm interested to hear the replies...

so... I'm still a little confused, does Wishes happen right after Spectro, should we stay in the same place? Or should we say watch Spectro near Country Bears and then head back to Casey's area to watch Wishes? FWIW, I would love to find a "magic place" where we can watch both from the same location!

1- Wishes happen right after Spectro,

1- Not "right after."
They usually begin one hour apart.
Spectro's running time is about 15 minutes.
But, it takes a certain amount of time for the head of the parade to REACH the point along the route at which you are standing.
For instance, Spectro won't reach Country Bears until 20+ minutes
after it began near the Main Street RR Station.

2- You can.

3- That's a good plan, if the park is not too crowded.

4- You and 10,000-25,000 others would like to do the same thing that night.
Those "magic spots" near the Hub and Main Street can be very, very, crowded, if there are many guests in the park.

If you watch Wishes from the Wooden Bridge near Splash Mountain (featured on my MK Parade Route map) you won't see the front of the Castle, but you can see Tinker Bell fly (at a distance,) see all of the fireworks, and hear the audio very well.
That area will be much less crowded than the Hub, but the fireworks will
not be centered, as they are near Casey's.
Everything must be weighed for importance and against the crowd levels.

A look at the Parade Route
SpectroMagic and the 3 O'Clock Parade both start near the Firehouse and exit near Splash Mtn.
MVMCP and MNSSHP Parades both start near Spalsh Mtn. and exit near the Firehouse.

With young kids that might mean you want to get them to bed at a reasonable time, which means staying as close to Town Square as possible so that you can make a quick exit out of the park.

Both on our recent trip and a year ago we sat on the Main St. curb near the arcade (staked out the spot around 6:15pm). Spectro started at 7pm and the end passed by around 7:30pm ish. For Wishes at 8, everyone just stood in the street and the view was fine. We weren't as close as other people, but we were able to exit the park before them too! We definitely beat much of the crowd back to the bus stop. We'll do the same thing on our next trip whenever it is.
