using fastpass-paper tickets vs new card - The DIS Discussion Forums

We will be using the remaining days on our 10 day passes when we go on our next disney trip. I had to buy a ticket for my 3 year old though and noticed that it's a card - like a credit card size. Will both the old paper tickets and the new cards work in the fast pass machines? Or do they do fastpass differently now? Or will we have to exchange our paper tickets for cards?

Both plastic card and paper tickets work in the machines.

I'm surprised they sent you a plastic ticket -- I didn't think they even did that any more except for vouchers that you turn in at the parks.

But in any case, as long as it's a ticket and not a voucher, both types work in the FP machines.

If it gets you in the front gate, it will work in the fastpass machine. The only exception I know of is cm's who use their ID's for admission.

Thanks! It was indeed a card, not a voucher, that they mailed to me. I'm glad to know I have one less thing to worry about! (Though hopefully the crowds will be low enough that we won't need to use FP much!)

when purchased and mailed in advance from disney, all tickets are plastic.
