Disboard Members are amazing - Nov 14 Double Dip Cruise

Recently I posted a plea for help on the cruise meet and greet for the Magic double dip that just ended yesterday. My parents were cruising for their 40th anniversary and I was looking for a way to give them seem extra magic (as if Disney does not already give us tons).

I asked if anyone could possibly help me out by putting a happy anniversary magnet on their door. I was blown away before they left with the designs I saw. I however was not prepared for what my parents received. They were like kids in a candy store that never ran out of surprises.

Not only did you wonderful people toss some magnets their way (in fact their door was covered), you also made them a FE and included them on your gift giving. They said returning to the room each day and seeing what was new was amazing. They were just blown away that strangers would be so kind. I kept telling them all along how cool this board was. My mom was reduced to tears more than once for your generosity.

I went over today to look at the pictures and see their trip stuff. The magnets you made and the gifts you left them were so much more than what I had wished for. You are a wonderful group of people.

My parents booked themselves and us on the Dream for 6/11/2011 and you can bet that we will participate in the FE if it is still going on, and we will be bringing along some extra magnets to help pay forward the amazing experience you all gave my parents.

Thank you so much for the pixie dust you gave them you have no idea how much it meant to me and them. This group rocks!!!!

Your parents were in the cabin across the hall from us. I had a blast seeing how much the double dippers did, too. The door was COVERED!! They did look like a couple of kids when I wished them Happy Anniversary.

I never got to meet your parents, but I sure had fun adding magic to their cruise. You're right, their door was covered. I wish I would have taken a picture. This was an easy way to pay it forward because I have asked so much from our disigners on the boards. This was a great bunch of people with big hearts. I'm looking forward to sailing with them again sometime in the future. I guess I better go and update my tickers.

My wife and I were on this cruise celebrating our 20th anniversary. At the end of the cruise we took the shuttle back to the Raddison, only to discover that our car's battery was dead. We found a couple that just got of the same cruise that were celebrating their 40th anniversary and they jump started our car. It was enormously helpful!!! Any chance this was your parents? We got to chat just a little bit with them, but didn't get their names.

No they did the Disney transfers straight from plane to boat and back again. They did say how much easier it was now, checking in right at airport and not having to touch luggage until getting back to home airport after the trip.

We were on this cruise and I was amazed by what their door looked like as I dropped off an FE gift for them. There were about 200 DISer's onboard and a better group of people I have yet to meet. There was also a Make a Wish family onboard, and when we found out about them, we passed the word and many folks left gifts for that family as well.
