Question PPH...to concierge or not to concierge...

I have checked into possibly making a trip to DL at the beginning of February for myself, DH and DD7 and DD11. I've priced out the PPH and with the special AP rate we can get a standard room for $139/night. For $195/night we can get a standard room with access to the concierge lounge. I know that the $ value for the food alone might not justify the extra expense of going with the concierge but the convenience of not having to bring all our own snacks and water or other beverages is really tempting me.

So here I sit, torn as to which way to go...any advice or words of wisdom would be super appreciated

for the 4 of you I think the cost IS covered by the free food and beverages.

I think you should definitly go for it. We love concierge and are going to miss it now that we are DVC members. The only problem is that once you do concierge, you are going to want to do it every trip!

Thank you Judy and Barngro for the replies. I think that we'll do the concierge

One more question...is it frowned upon to REALLY take advantage of the food that's available? I was thinking of bringing some sandwich bags along to bring things from the concierge lounge to the park for the kids to snack on. I wouldn't be super blatant about it, probably pack up the snacks back in the room...but still...

baggies might be a bit blatant , but everyone in your party carrying out a piece of whole fruit in the am's or a cookie in the PM's wont turn a head. Beverages maybe a little more liberal.

The concierge staff at PP is great! Don't be bashful about eating as much as you like. My wife and I enjoy the wine at 5:00pm while the kids can pick out a DVD to take back to the room. Concierge helps fill the gaps in your DL day and helps you enjoy every moment of your Disneyland experience! Make sure you use the staff to help you make PS's and answer any questions you may have. They are there to serve you.
