Doing cruise paperwork at Resort

I have seen postings that you are able to do all the necessary paperwork at the airport if you are flying in for a cruise. We will be in the park the night before our cruise, and I am wondering if I can get the paperwork for the next day at the airport so I can fill it out at the hotel, or if they will provide it to be since I am using Disney transportation from the airport to the park, and then to the ship the next day.

You can (and probably should) do the online check in. After you complete all of the online forms, you print out the contact signature page and the credit card authorization/signature form and take them with you. If you do all that, check in at the port is a breeze.

If you don't do the online check in, they will mail you all the necessary forms about 2 -3 weeks prior to sailing, so you can complete those and check in at the port.

You may be referring to a new process where you can check-in and be issued your Key To The World Card right at the airport. As mentioned you would do the online check in and print out the forms you need to bring with you. Then you check in at the airport. If this is what you are referring to you can't do this at the resort (unless you are on an official Land/
Sea Package). If you are staying at a WDW resort before hand on an independent reservation you will have to check in at the Port. It is very easy to do as long as you have all your paperwork from the online check in.

Please note that the new process at the airport is very new and there is not too much info on it. It seems to be in a trial phase so don't be surprised if it is not happening for every cruise.

thanks

Many thanks to Outahere and MMouse37 for the info. The airport thing was a little vague, so it is now a bit more clear. I have already done all the online forms, so I will be ready for the port terminal. I am always amazed at the speed and helpfulness of the answers on these boards. Thanks again.

I'll echo that the policy of checking in at the airport is very new, and I don't think all the CMs know what is happening. Before our last cruise I called and asked if this would be available. I was told no, so we didn't try it.

When we returned home from the cruise I read reports on these boards from people who claimed to have done it on our cruise. OH well...

The system (when it is working) is designed for people who arrive at MCO the night before and are checking in early in the morning before the desk opens for DCL transfer check in.

As MJ said...... you're very welcome. A lot of us here have some very useful knowledge that we're happy to pass along. That's what makes the DIS a GREAT place!!
