Need a place for 16 - The DIS Discussion Forums

We are doing a large family vacation June 2-16, 2011. We are wanting 1 large house to fit us all. I have found some through Google, but would love some recommendations for companies.

I was just wondering the same thing. There are 15 of us going 8 adults and 7 kids. Hoping to rent a house that will fit us all.

I would suggest www.homeaway.com. They are private owners who rent out their homes. We have rented through this site a number of times and never ever had a problem.

They have 4,5,6 & 7 Bedroom homes. I have stayed at the 7 Bedroom Star Lake Home. Great home with a great owner. Very easy to deal with and the homes are like a resort.

We're staying at Star Lake Manor this summer too. It's a pretty upscale price for what looks like an upscale & fabulous home & we can't wait to see it in person. But for the number in your group, the price wouldn't be unmanageable. If you'd like to take a look, the link in my signature.

Emerald Island has several 7 bedroom homes and is close to WDW. (in the same neighborhood as Formosa Gardens). The homes are not as large as the ones on Formosa Gardens, but they also do not have the price tag.

Just a tip - at Emerald Island, the 7 bed homes in the "enclave" are larger than the standard 7 bedroom homes and on larger lots (translation - more space between your home and the one next door).
