Not So Romantic Dinner for 2?

Hey All!!

We leave in 9 weeks for The World and I have a question for you all:

It will be 7 of us, DH, DD7, DS5, DD3, and two friends of me and hubby.

I have told the friends that one night they can all go out with DH for boys night out and I will stay with the kiddos if they will switch and babysit so DH and I can have a night.

SO........where should we go? We will have already had dinner, so we are looking for a place to have decent wine, couple o drinks, MAYBE dancing (depends on how many Jacks we have). We used to LOVE 8 traxxx, but alas it is no more. We are not big on the bar scene, so Raglan Road isn't on the top of the list. Any suggestions?

And a little OT, I see so many people upset about Adventurer's club, what was it anyway?

The only place I'm aware of that offers dancing / drinking on WDW property any longer is the Atlantic Dance Hall over on the Boardwalk.

You're going to be hard pressed to find what you're looking for at Disney any longer - most of the restaurants and bars close up shop by 11PM ... some close at 10PM and some resort bars will stay open until midnight but last call is closer to 11:30.

If you're going to have a car I'd suggest that you head over to CityWalk at Universal - they have a great selection of clubs that offer live music, dancing, and drinking.

The new Rix Lounge over at CSR might work.

"Date Night"

That sounds like fun!

but with Pleasure Island closed/changed....not the same as it used to be...That might be a bit difficult...

Here's a recommendation:
Jellyrolls at Disney's BoardWalk Area at Walt Disney World Resort is a lively piano bar with dueling pianos and audience sing-alongs for Guests 21 years and up.

Let the good times roll at Jellyrolls! Raise a glass each night as you sing along with the jelly-rollicking music of the two piano maestros playing your favorite tunes. No request is too obscure, no artist beyond mimicry. These guys can play anything! Well, almost anything. Try to stump them for the time of your life.

The Adventurer's club....beloved by many ...including me....is very hard to describe...and give it the justice it deserved...

Enter the doors to the the 1920's...a lounge where adventurers come to tell the stories of their travels...characters join with impromptu comedy...special rooms with smaller shows...then at particular times...the large room opens for wonderful comedy and fun...sing alongs...drinks...and good times...

Gee - that doesn't even give it the magic it deserves. I apologize for this my Adventurer friends! KONGALOOSH !!!!

Tuskar Rock, the house band at Ragland Road, is awesome. DW and I are not into the bar scene either, but we make an effort to visit RR for the music every other visit or so. If you like Irish music, go. Get a couple drinks and dessert. No dancing there, but great music.

Head to the Boardwalk

I like the Boardwalk bc it has a ton of choices and all are open relatively late into the evening. Jellyrolls is so much fun and the piano players are amazing! never been to Atlantic Dance but it sounds really fun; Big River has great indoor and outdoor seating and great craft beer; ESPN has decent food and a great atmosphere. You can't go wrong at any of these spots.
