Tagemet or Pepcid....what's the difference and which do you like better?

I remember starting a thread about this a long time ago, I just can't find it now.

Mostly want to try it for "sour stomach" and heartburn when laying down.

Want to try something OTC before heading off to the germ filled doctors office.

We (myself, adult DD and her DH) all take Prevacid - because we have been diagnosed with acid reflux/GERD.. Have you ever had an endoscopy?

If it's just occasional, routine sour stomach and heart burn, you could also take Alka Seltzer Gold (the non-aspirin formula) instead - if you don't have any other health issues or take any other medications that would indicate otherwise..

is Prevacid OTC too??

My constant "sour stomach" started about a week ago, heartburn too.

I'll get checked out if something OTC doesnt' help, just sure hate to go into "germ-land" for my doctor to say "try something OTC first".

Yes - Prevacid is OC, but our gastro writes a script for the old generic form because it's much cheaper..

If this has been "constant" - for a week though - you probably should head off to "germ land"..
