OT- Need a place to rent Fort Myers Mar/10 - The DIS Discussion Forums

Plans we had for renting a condo in March, fell thru due to a scam, we are going away with friends and looking for a place to rent in the Fort Myers area. Message me if you know of anyone that has anything especially if you stayed there to ensure we don't get scammed again. There are 9 of us going

I'm so sorry to hear you got scammed.. we did a couple years ago by George (Jorge) Gomez in the Orlando area and had a hard time trusting anyone else.

Hopefully someone here will know of somewhere for you.

Thanks for your well wishes. Sorry to hear you were scammed also. My friend had booked it, her dad had known one of the individuals that were involved with it. There was apparently 4 of them, one of the four made off with all the money ( not the one her dad knew). The place looked nice enough. Not sure the entire details of it, we may just book a bonus week thru our RCI somewhere. We just got back yesterday from Disney so this was just going to be a 2nd trip, kids are kinda bummed though. The place is called Kona Beach Club Condos....in case anyone else was planning on booking. My friend was told her cheque is on route, as is her dad's for their deposit. Take Care Kat.......i just cannot believe people, it takes all kinds obviously.

Sorry to hear that too!

My folks live in Naples, and I can't believe how expensive that area is in springtime. The Ritz is about $500 a night for a room!

I don't know if you have checked out the new Marriott in Marco Island? I have heard that area is pretty - maybe there are condos there.

Sorry, wish I could provide more help. I do know it's an expensive area (I haven't been in 9 years, but really prefer Orlando or Longboat Key or the Sarasota area myself).
