Split Reservation and the Dining Plan

I just got the pin code for Christmas week. We were booked 12/24 to 12/28 with 12/24 being a passholder rate and the rest book value. With the pin code we had to split the reservation, so now we have a one-night passholder rate for 12/24 and a three night pin code for 12/25-12/28, for the same resort, hopefully the same room.

I just realized that I was planning on using 2 TS credits my first day for the CP. We have a total of 4 TS reservations, one being 2 credits, so I was going to pay cash for our ADR on 12/25 since it was the cheapest. Now we cannot use the 2 TS's for our CP package, since we will only have one each, and if we pay cash we will have an extra TS credit left over at the end of our stay. I am also wondering when the TS credit expires after day 1. Will we be able to use it at 3 pm, even if we have switched over to the new reservation by then? Also, will we have to go back to the resort to switch to the new reservation? We can't leave MK on 12/25 without losing our ability to enter again.

Anyone know how this works with double reservations like this? Will they give us all our credits at once? I saved a ton with the pin code so I will not be too terribly upset if we just pay cash for our first days dining, but I am wondering if there is any other alternative.

When I used the AP code to book CSR last Sept 26th-Oct 4th there were no standard rooms available for Sept 26th, so had to make two reservations (paying the $200.00 deposit)on both of them for a King room for Sept 26th and a standard room for the rest of the week. I had the CM link them. When I checked in the CM made the comment, "I see you have linked reservations, both with the DxDDP". She then told me that I would have until midnight of Sept 27th to use up my credits for the Sept 26th reservation, so be careful that I used the correct room key that next day. She also told me I would have to come back down the next morning on the 27th to recheck back in. I arrived downstairs very early the next morning to recheck back in. Due to having a King room that first night, I did have to change rooms. I told the CM that second morning that I still had one meal credit left from the 26th's reservation and she told me to make sure I used it before midnight on the 27th and to be sure and use it before using the new ones on the new room key as they would expire at midnight on the 27th. I used that last meal credit for breakfast that morning, then put that room key for the first reservation away and started using the new room key for lunch that day.

They will not give you your meal credits all at once for two reservations. I would pay cash that first night for the CP pkg.

You do have to check back in in order to activate your new reservation and the DDP. Just run down early your second day, before going to the park, and recheck back in. It takes only a few minutes. If you do have to change rooms (like I did), just drop your bags off at bell services and call for them that night when you get back from the parks. Just in case, I wouldn't fully unpack that first night. Just take out enough to get through the night so you can easily repack early the next morning if you need to.

You might try using both TS credit from the first night for 1 CP and pay for the Other OOP. Then use your other 3 with the other card.

Meal credits expire at midnight the day of checkout. So you can use the credit from the first day from checkin time on the 24th to midnight on the 25th.
