Way to make things Pop! - The DIS Discussion Forums

I want to publicly thank the Pop Century Resort for returning my down pillow that I accidently left at the beginning of the month. They tracked me down, called me and mailed it to me at NO COST! There's still Disney magic out there and it's being made by the Cast Members in all roles!

The Pop called me after I returned home and told me a cell phone charger had been found in our room that we stayed in. The charger wasn't mine, but I was impressed that they were trying to track down it's owner. Also, my son's cell phone fell out of his pocket while at Epcot. The next day he realized that he didn't have it. I called Disney Lost and Found just to report it...I really thought it was LONG gone. But, it had been turned in and Disney shipped it to my home free of charge.

That is awesome. Disney's lost and found at the resorts is very thorough. We thought we lost my DH ipod on our trip this year, I called them left them a message on our way home they promptly called me first thing in the morning, hadn't found it, asked for better description and vowed to check as soon as the new room habitants left for the day and callback. In the meantime I finally found it in DH's luggage (oh yeah he had 'looked' and it wasn't there

) I called them back and they were overjoyed that I had found it . It is another of the 1000's of reasons Disney's customer services is #1.

The staff at POP is awesome! My DH left a pair of Chaps shorts there in March, and they sent them to us. We were really impressed!

I don't know if this counts but I found a teenage-style wallet at MK in 1995 and turned it in, it had no ID but contained $300 cash.

I got back to Australia and completely forgot about the whole thing - 12 months later I got a letter from WDW saying nobody had claimed the wallet, so they sent me a cheque for the $300. I felt so guilty I didn't cash the cheque for about 6 months, and when I did I bought gifts for the Christmas Wishing Tree.

To this day I still feel bad for the poor person whose vacation may well have been ruined. But thanks to the CM's at WDW who bothered to track me down, about 10 underprivelidged kids got a Christmas present.

That reminds me we left a gameboy behind at POP in 2005 and they called us and we were able to get it on the way to the airport.
