Please help us choose!! A Veggie, a Vegan, and two meat eaters need 2 more ts meals!

We will be in WDW from Jan 30 to Feb 6...at POR.

We are on the dining plan and already have our TS and CS planned.

So far:

01/30 Boma at 6:25 for dinner

02/01 1900 Park Fare at 4:30 )then over to MK for Spectromagic and Wishes

02/02 'Ohana at 5:25 (crossing fingers for Chef TJ!! )

02/03 Tuskerhouse at 8:00 for breakfast (the 15 y/o will love this! )

02/04 Boma at 6:50 for dinner

02/06 CRT at 9:25 for breakfast

So...I'm not really feelin' this whole CRT thing on departure day! We want to be on the road by noon..but we DO want to sneak in some park time before we leave. I thought a character meal would be a nice way to end our vacation. BUT...2 TS? I'm vegan, my dh is a vegetarian, and honestly-we aren't huge breakfast people. For on TS this might be okay-but really we'd be paying to eat at the castle!

Some others I considered:
Sci-Fi for lunch
Chef's de France for dinner
Chef Mickey's for breakfast.

Either way, if I cancel we have to add either another 2TS meal or 2 1TS meals. I'd love any and all suggestions!!!!

How about the Crystal Palace? I haven't tried it yet but I've heard a lot of good things.

CP was one of the first ADRs I tried to get and they will be closed while we are there.

Sci-Fi is a lot of fun - great shakes. Not too sure though how much veg. options there are

Just had lunch at Chefs de France last week. For the meat eaters- have the Alsace flatbread: bacon, creme fraiche, and onion never had it so good. We had good timing and got to meet Remy. I'm 40 and even I was absolutely charmed by him and his "handler".

Chef Mickey's for breakfast was OK, but I liked it better when we had dinner there (my avatar gives that away!).

Teppan Edo in the Japan pavilion at Epcot is very good and well worth the TS credit.

Or, use those 2 TS credits for a single meal and hit one of the signature restaurants. We ate last week at Narcoossee's, Jiko, and Cali Grill. All were worth raving about.

We love Sci-fi. I had a veggie burger, which was yummy! The fries are really very good. I've also heard good things about the tofu dish from there but I haven't tried it yet.

BUT I love CRT! It's so worth the credits for the experience! I haven't had breakfast there yet but lunch and dinner was fantastic.

Other restaurants I would like to try or have tried that had great veggie options:
Teppan Edo, just ask them to cook your veggies first if having them cooked on the griddle with the meat will bother you. We're going in February and I'm so excited! They also do sushi so I'm sure they could whip up a veggie maki or avocado maki (my favorite!) and I hear their tempura is quite good.

Akershus where you can also see the princesses! We're going for breakfast in February. They also have a good veg option that may be "veganized" for dinner.

50's Prime-time, I've heard good things about their stuffed pepper veg option, and they can probably do a veggie burger.

We did Chef Mickey's for dinner last year and while it was ok there actually wasn't all that much for vegetarians imho.

I'd like to try Artist Point at WL sometimes, the potato potstickers sounds really good!

I am not sure 'Ohana is a good choice for the Vegetarian and definitely not for the Vegan unless the Vegan plans to snack on the wide variety of tropical plants in the lobby.

Are you staying at AKL? Try Jiko! Jiko is 2 TS credits, and maybe you could go there for dinner on 2/4 (instead of Boma) and then do something different on 2/5, like CM breakfast, and skip a TS meal on your departure day so you can get some park time in.

Check the Jiko menu.

I'm vegetarian and really liked the appetizers that we tried, but I wasn't crazy about the one veg entree (it isn't on the menu now). There appears to be a vegetarian menu now, but there wasn't one then.

I know that it is a long shot ADR at this time, but I've had the best vegetarian entrees at Le Cellier. Both times, the chefs were very accommodating and either went into detail about the dish or changed something that I didn't like. If you can get into LC for lunch or dinner, it is 1 TS credit. You could try that on 2/5 instead of CM breakfast.

An easier to get ADR is Biergarten. It is surprisingly vegetarian friendly. It was fun, I enjoyed the meal, and we are going there a second time on our next trip. I am not sure about vegan choices, though. You could try that ADR on 2/5 if you can't get LC.

Have a great trip!

Hmmm, we went to Sci-fi and it was neat for the atmosphere, but I didn't care for my veggie burger much. I asked for a vegan bun and they had no clue what I was talking about and told me they had a gluten free bun, so I got that....ick.

Boma, Tusker, & Ohana will be wonderful. I could only get an ADR for Ohana when Chef TJ wasn't working (BOO, HISS!) but they did make me a vegan meal (tofu) and it was very good. Next time I will make sure it's a weekday when TJ is there!

Chef Mickey for dinner had ONE thing I could eat (some sort of mixed veggies) but I have no idea about breakfast. It's too bad that CP isn't open, they had a great breakfast...mmmm...fresh berries!

I think Sanaa at the AKL would be a good choice. Also, Tony's I believe has pasta that isn't made with egg.

Teppan Edo was great and had a nice vegeterian choice.

'Ohana was wonderful as well but the meal is served family style and based around the meat. . .really not a lot of available choices for vegeterians.

I hope you have a better experience with 'Ohana than I did.
For recommendations, well...you already have Boma! That's our favorite. I second the recommendations for Jiko and Sanaa, both are supposedly very vegetarian friendly. I also heard from my bus driver the other day that Biergarten is veg-friendly. I could be mistaken on that one, but I heard it has lots of options that you may like.

You can check out my dining reviews (linked in my signature) for some vegan/vegetarian meal ideas. Boma and Tusker House are AMAZING. We had a good experience at 'Ohana without Chef TJ, but I can only imagine how much more amazing it would have been if he had been there.

Sci-Fi Dine-In is one of my favorite restaurants. They have a tofu dish that I've ordered twice. The mango sauce has honey in it. So if you don't eat honey, you can just get mango puree, or not get the sauce at all (which I reccommend, as it does nothing for the dish).

I would probably never go to a table service restaurant for breakfast as a vegan. Basically all you're guaranteed is fruit Just not worth the price to me.
