NFL on DCL?

We'll be sailing next week and the Bears are playing on the NFL network on Thursday night. Any chance of catching the game on the ship?

They do show NFL games in Diversions. If there is a specific game you want to watch get there early and vote for it. The games that get the most votes get shown.

Well the good thing is it's Thursday night....so there should only be one game. The bad thing in that's the night I was hoping to go to Palo.

There is also a chance that they will be showing it on the jumbo screen outside. I've seen NFL and college games being shown out there at night.

They did it this way and a few games were on the jumbo screen. This was last year.

I'm on the Eastern Magic Jan 2-9. I was hoping to see the last Saints game of the season on the 3rd, which is a sea day. I don't think many people will care to watch them, unless they're going for a perfect season...

While they do show a lot of football games (as well as other sports) in Diversions, I'm not sure if they have access to the NFL network. Most of what we had were on the major broadcast networks or ESPN. I'm not 100% sure so maybe someone else has specifically asked for that??

Yep diversions should have it. I know when we were on the cruise it was nfl playoffs and they actually had it on at the pool.

Disney owns 80% of ESPN.

Will do! We're hoping the NFL network isn't a deal breaker!

This picture was from our 2007 cruise. The game was televised on NBC(Sunday Night Football), but they had ESPN announcers/commercials instead. Notice the NBC Peacock in the lower left hand corner and the ESPN Logo in the upper right corner. GO STEELERS!!!

Go BEARS! They used to have an ESPN lounge that is now a teen center. I could not believe they did this. I watched my beloved Iowa Hawkeyes their one cruise. A few years back we were watching a comedian in one lounge and the Bears were on TV in the ajoining lounge, so I told my DW I had to watch the Bears. About 15 min later I look at the guy standing next to me and it was the comedian I was just watching. He was on a break and was a Bears fan. Go BEARS!

Just wanted to give an update. The cast in diversions really had no idea. It took some doing but eventulally they found the NFL network and put it on with no sound. Towards the end of the awful game they figured out how to get the sound. Hopefully tonight will be better.
