Young teen boy fashion
Well, it has come to this. My ds has decided he cares about what he wears!!! I would like to add a couple of long sleeve tees to his Chirstmas. I need suggestions on "cool" brand names for his age group 13-15 yrs. He is our oldest so we are a bit out of the loop.
Thank you for all the helps! |

aeropostale is popular with young teens, and is much cheaper than hollister, abercrombie etc.

I have a 13 year old DS, he wears American Eagle, Hollister, Abercrombie, Aeropostale, Levi skinny jeans, and t-shirts with his favorite sports teams, musical artists, and ones from his youth group outings.

Yeah, definitely ask which brands are cool for him. My DS lives for American Eagle, Aeropostale, Holister and Abercrombie and anything with a 60s or 70s band name one it (think beatles, Aerosmith, Led Zeplin), but my co-workers son who is only 5 months older thinks those brands are lame and will only wear Pac Sun, Quiksilver, Tony Hawk and and stuff that has skulls on it. He won't touch anything with a band's name on it.

My 14 also likes Aeropostale, American Eagle and Hollister, as well as sports teams. Aeropostale's website has a coupon for 30% friends and family discount thru Sunday (tomorrow). If you are going then just print it off. FYI, not sure where you live but my son won't wear long sleeve shirts. No matter how cold it is he wears short sleeve with a hoodie. I guess one exception is Under Armour. However, we live in TN and it doesn't get too cold here.

In my house, Aeropostale was a NO for my son. American Eagle was just a quick passing fad and now it is all stuff from Tilly's, Pac Sun and a few items from Plato's Closet.
RocaWear, South Pole, ENYC (or something like that) was just too urban for his taste. |

I agree, ya better ASK so you don't get frustrated and he won't be disappointed...Mine only wears Vintage style shirts, old bands, he will no longer wear any of the DOZENS of Hollister and Abercrombie hanging in the closet
I pulled them all out and will sell them off in a garage sale in the spring....OH, and mine RARELY wears any long sleeve ANYTHING...????

It will be easier for you if you think about what style he likes to wear. My 12 year old is very preppie so Abercrombie was a good fit. He wears Aeropostale tees for gym class but isn't impressed with it mostly because he likes to be dressed up. He loves polos so even Tony Hawk is fine with him.
Note to A1tinkFan: if you have any like new Abercrombie polos or sweatshirts in a size large, pm me! I'll buy them from you! LOL!

It depends on how big he is.
Aeropostale stuff typically starts at size small. My son is almost 14, but he is so tiny he can't wear their stuff. Same with American Eagle. ALL of the stores in the mall that just carry adult sizes don't have anything small enough for him. He can wear Abercrombie (from the kids store) but some of it is cut really, really weird. We were looking at long sleeve T's in there last night and they are cut for chimpanzees - SUPER long arms and short bodies. My DS likes Quiksilver and Hurley, Gap, Polo. He has a couple of T's by Guess and Calvin Klein.
