next week

So, our trip of two years in the making is just about here!!!!Now, I am totally psyched about the free dining we could get, but I can't help wondering how busy it will be. We arrive on 11/28/09 and leave 12/5/09...Anyone have any thoughts on this and will this week not be as slow as it was in the past?

Thanks!!!

I have been there for Thanksgiving Day, leaving the following Wednesday. This year, I arrive on Sunday, the 29th. I think you will find that it will be fairly busy on Sat and Sunday, with the crowds dying down by Monday night. But....with free dining and the 3/4 deal they have, who knows what will happen. But, I don't anticipate any huge crowds...I figure it should be very pleasant.

We will be there the same time as you, so I'm hoping the same thing. I just read on here that someone just got back and the waits were so low. Like 12 minutes for TSMM. Wasn't free dining going on this past week too? I'm not sure, but if it was maybe that means the free dining won't affect things that much. Here's hoping.

You read my crowd thread! Yes, we did indeed have free dining, and even the restaurants weren't full. I really hope the crowds are low for you, it was unbelievable!

I go the same week every year. And it has picked up the last two years a bit since the Travel Channel did a show called "Disney on a Dime".

The resorts seem to be somewhat full; but I believe it is an indication that people who would normally stay off-site are staying on-site with the 4/3 deal. I myself upgraded from a mod to a deluxe.

I think it is going to be a bit busier - MK and DHS will still be busy Sat/Sun, until the locals clear out as well as all the people in the resorts. M - W look really good and then it will pick up again T, F, Sat, for the parade taping at MK.

They have also added some additional Fantasmic shows, which may be an indication that it could be a bit brisk, but not nearly like Thanksgiving week.

We are also going the same dates as you, and I am hoping that the crowd levels will be down. We have never been this late in the year, so this is all new to me...Im also torn on what to pack (weather wise)..I am just gonna bring shorts, and 2 pairs of jeans..oh and a light jacket. I guess if we need anything else we will just have to buy it there.
Have fun, and see you there!!

That is so cool. I had just read your thread and then read this one so that is why I was still thinking about it. Plus I had just shared your info with my DH and talked about how I hoped we would find the same. So cool.
