So THIS is what you guys mean when you say LOW CROWDS!!!

Just got back last night after a week at WDW. This was our third trip, the first being beginning of Oct 07 and the second this past President's Week. On both of our previous trips we were able to do everything we wanted by using fast passes, but waited 45 minutes or more a few times to see the biggies.

This past week we did wait for Soarin' for 15 minutes at 10:30am on Sunday (no EMHs).

10 minutes at Everest at ~ 2:30pm on Wed (no EMHs). We immediately went back in line for another ride and it was a walk-on! They did not have the single rider line even going.

TSMM, at 11:15am posted a 10 minute wait -- we waited 12 minutes (Mon - no EMHs - Fantasmic night)! RockNRollercoaster was posted 10 minutes but was a literal walk-on at ~noon. Went straight to ToT after RnRC and literally walked on to an open elevator. Headed to the 1st Fantasmic show of 2 that night at about 5:40pm for the 6:30pm show, got our choice of seats, and there were still seats on the far left and right at show time.

Everything else, and I mean EVERYTHING was literally a walk-on. DD and I rode Kali River Rapids 5x in a row with no wait, Splash Mountain was not even giving FPs, and we walked on to it and BTMR at 1:30pm on Tues (no EMHs, XMas party night). Oh yeah, and we got to ride Space Mountain during Thur MVMCP with no wait as well!!

So now I know what low crowds are like!!! How will we ever be able to stand the crowds at other times?! I'll be starting a trip report soon if anyone wants more details!

That is a problem! Going in busier times! I have often said I wanted to try and go Christmas Day just to see what it is like (with no anticipation of being able to do much!) - my DW reminded me of the bathroom issue (lines) for women and squashed that idea.

I'm hoping for the same types of waits for the week after Turkey Day. I would love it. We were last there during Spring Break for bday celebrations. And saw 30 minute wait for spaceship earth and 45 min for The Great Movie Ride.

Was there a more "relaxed" feel in he parks?

We go when it is really busy, and it feels chaotic at times. We have been in the parks when they have reached full capacity, and it is very overwhelming with small kids.

I am seeing one post after another touting the low crowds on the week before Thanksgiving. It's starting to look like the third week of November is becoming what the second week of December once was.

I can't even describe the feeling of relaxation in the parks (or my own personal feeling of relaxation). Everyone who's there pretty much knows that whenever they mosey over to ... there's not going to be a wait, so why hurry? That said, there were still a few of the usual screwballs who act like their pants are on fire getting out of a holding room to get on the ride when they didn't even wait to get in the holding room . We rode pretty much every ride at the MK on our full day there (closed at 7pm for a MVMCP), but also spent plenty of time sitting on a bench drinking a frozen lemonade (I think I drank my weight in those this week!)

I'm lucky I have the flexibility to pick when we can go and chose end of Jan/early Feb for just this reason! Fingers crossed that time lives up to its rep.

I love love love low crowds. Nothing like going to MK, going through the Space Mountain line, and having the ride waiting for you!! When I worked at Disney, my roommates, and I would go to MK around 4 PM, and be able to ride everything, and watch Wishes at 8 PM---- ITS WONDERFUL

Not to worry, as long as Sandra Brown and all the travel agents keep telling people about the new secret they heard of concerning the second week in December, you're good.
