I got a pin code invitation for 30% off Deluxe Christmas -> NYE week - The DIS Discussion Forums

We'll already be there from the 15th until the 23rd. The crazy inside me wants to just stay!! LOL

Who will pay? Well, that is to be determined. Even at 30% off, I doubt I could get my husband to spring for that after a week of being there.

I'm wondering if they are expecting lower attendance than usual?

I didn't think they ever had discounts for that week. I guess you may be right... reservations are down, at least for the deluxe resorts.

I already have reservations, but I checked last week and there is availability at all levels of rooms. We could even downgrade to Standard View at WL, though we aren't!

I am envious of that pin code. I have never gotten one, and since I am already booked for that time I am sure I will not get one now.

Maybe they will come out with passholder or Florida resident rates...

Well, while I did not get the code, my husband did! So I will be calling later this afternoon to change my reservation.

That code will be worth over $350 for us!

I got it too.

But DH said there is no way in (a very hot place) that we would going during the 2 weeks of Christmas. Darn.

Keep in mind that room rates skyrocket for holiday season. A Poly Garden View is $355 Nov 29- Dec 17, $560 Dec 18-24, $580 Dec 25-31. So the 30% off will be off of a very high rate to start with.

We got the offer too, but honestly, you couldn't pay me to be at WDW during that time. We are both hate crowds.

I got it too, but we are going Dec. 13-19. I don't know how they pick who gets these things, but it sure doesn't make much sense to send it to me, IMO!

I know. I seriously almost pooped my pants when I saw that! That week is almost NEVER discounted. I really wish I could share this with someone who could use it! (Or if I lived closer... I'd use it! LOL Merry Christmas to ME!!)

But seriously, I got that PIN yesterday also. I couldn't believe that disney was discounting that week. Craziness! I'm trying not to get tooo excited and thinking that maybe, just maybe, it won't be as crowded as I thought?!?

Oh, well..as someone already mentioned, the rates are so high during that week anyway, 30% off still leaves you with a high rate. I think I'll just stick with my great Yacht Club rate I got from magical vacations earlier this year. It comes out to about 60% off!!

We're at a mod that week but if I got that offer we might upgrade to a deluxe...of course there is always the possibility we'll get upgraded for free anyway!

Not expecting anything but definitely hoping! (If you're reading Disney we're really considering buying into DVC...

)

I was checking online a few days ago while pondering whether to add nights to our stay and the only thing it seemed was available were the deluxe resorts.

Plug in the dates on Expedia.com for 12-21 thru 12-25, there are TONS of rooms available at all the Disney resorts, WOW !!!! There are more rooms available that week than any week during the month of December when you check Monday thru Friday dates.
